Jealousy. For obvious reasons |
| ^To hurt her mom that she bled? |
It really is. I know people complain about some missing people getting special treatment, and certainly that's true, but this is a weird one. Who takes an older woman in the middle of the night? Especially someone with a high profile relative? I cannot imagine it could possibly be Annie or her husband. How stupid would you have to be??? |
Fact is it's often the family. Remember Susan Smith getting crying about someone kidnapping her kids? Turns out she drove them into a pond and drowned them herself. |
This. I don't think it is a family member unless there is severe mental illness that causes completely irrational thought. I do think they made an agreement with the BIL that he may be a decoy so the real kidnappers don't think the authorities are onto them. They have no reason to be jealous of Savannah unless this is a highly dysfunctional family with a mother who manipulates and it doesn't sound like that at all. I am sure they see all the sacrifices and exhaustion that comes with Savannah's high profile life and they can appreciate their quite and normally (before this) peaceful life. I have some close friends who are super successful-even one in the lime light though not quite a household name and I truly am proud of them, love hearing about their success, but at the same time don't envy them. My family is dysfunctional and my mother plays games, compares, tries to create competition, etc. I just don't engage, though it would stress me out when young. You would have to be severely mentally ill to have the level of jealousy some posters suggests no matter how dysfunctional a family (and it doesn't sound like this family was dysfunctional). I keep getting back to this being a crime ring with foreign ties because it's easier to pull these things off in other countries. Alternatively, maybe a mentally ill contractor. I go out of my way to keep good contractors and write positive reviews and thank them profusely, because I once had a really deranged guy show up who started screaming at me for asking questions about his high quotes, etc. I remained calm and it was hard to de-escalate. Something was really wrong there and it made me scared for the next few months knowing he had my address. His thinking and reasoning skills were completely off and i think that would have to be the case with crime like this. I also suspect the criminals must have some personality disorder features and enjoy the national attention and temporary power. Thanks for coming to my layperson Ted talk. |
True. Cameras, cell phone locations. |
It is a lot of coverage, but I think it's a good (and also sad) demonstration of how long investigations take and how having resources and money don't shield you from all things. I cannot believe this has gone on with this much attention, but investigations do take time. |
Clearly you don't believe (your prerogative), but it's clear Nancy had a strong faith. People praying for intercession is a way they can offer support, even to someone they don't know. God didn't "let" her get kidnapped, but of course you know this. He doesn't prevent suffering but provides inner strength, hope and presence to endure it. If that's not for you, just scroll on by. |
+1 beautifully worded truth |
No, it depends on how connected you are to the cops. Apparently, knowing a cop and searching and finding a dead body with a cop ala John Ramsey is ok. |
No, it really doesn't. Stop with your nonsense. |
Yes, it does. Knowing the cops helps. Why do you think drug kingpins use to befriend police officers and donate to police departments? Cops aren’t the brightest tools in the shed. It’s easy for sociopath to call 911, report a “missing person, and then discover the dead body while accompanied by a friend/cop. John Ramsey found the body because he knew she was dead not missing |
Your tinfoil hat is on too tight. |
No, it isn’t. I understand human psychology. Jealousy and family money is a huge trigger point for elder abuse |

TMZ is reporting that the ransom note included something not disclosed by law enforcement or noticeable on b-roll: the placement of her Apple watch.
I would suppose this is something more specific than "on her nightstand" but maybe as something they placed specifically to be able to show authenticity. |
