ICE Shooting in Minneapolis

Yes.

Minnesota can charge the shooter, but because he’s a federal agent the US Attorney can invoke the supremacy clause to remove the action to federal court and can either dismiss the charges, or put on an intentionally half assed prosecution which should it result in conviction, Trump will issue an immediate pardon. Or he will simply preemptively pardon the murderous agent. Since Trump and his DOJ leadership are both utterly corrupt, I suspect this POS is going to get away with murder.

Stay out of the road if you don't want to be hit by a scared person trying to avoid being carjacked.

You are not allowed to block ICE vehicles or run away if ICE is detaining you. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are federal police with nationwide jurisdiction, not contractors or security.
If ICE tells you to stop or that you are under arrest for interfering, you must comply. Refusing to obey lawful orders can legally result in detention, arrest, and the use of reasonable force.
Federal law is clear: 8 U.S. Code § 1357 gives ICE arrest and detention authority
18 U.S. Code § 111 makes it a crime to resist, obstruct, or impede federal officers
18 U.S. Code § 3052 grants federal arrest authority
You may observe or record in public. You may not block vehicles, interfere, ignore commands, or flee. ICE are real police, and federal law applies in every state.

How does one know that it is ICE vs random carjackers??

This year,.criminals have even pretended to be ICE to rob others or attempt rape (I can pull a couple articles if you need receipts). She waves them to go by her so she can go, then suddenly they are in her face with a gun. I'd be confused and terrified too.

She was specifically there to video the protests and block the ICE convoy with her vehicle. There are witness statements saying this on NBC and other news. Along with witnesses saying ICE/police were shouting at her to move her car prior to them getting out. I don’t think she should have been shot. But it’s also untrue that she was just a random woman getting milk and had no idea what was going on or who they were and thought it was a car jacking

Fascist apologist. There are no but’s here.

There’s a longer video that shows that multiple other ICE vehicles were able to get by her without attempting to detain her or shooting her in the face. She was not blocking ICE vehicles when the ICE agents jumped out of that truck.

PP again adding the video that shows a previous ICE vehicle easily passing by her car. She was not blocking the road.

How do you know they are ICE vehicles?

I don't know how to tell the difference between an official ICE vehicle, and a vehicle that just has generic random thugs in it,

If she was really blockimg traffic, then why was the car ahead of the agents' truck able to go around her? And why was she waving the agents to pass her?
Anonymous
Oh wait. The SHOOTER already passed by her car, and then came BACK to stop her?

So how can he claim she was interfering and blocking him?

The guys in the second car could claim that, possibly, but the shooter already went by her.

The woman bled out and died on the cold Minnesota ground.

You can see the shooter walk away from the vehicle, pull up his mask, and leaves the scene.

Is that what law enforcement officers do after they shoot someone? He skedaddled before the actual police could arrive.

Good slow motion replays in that link.

Two points it shows: 1. There is clearly visible space between the car and both ice agents legs when the first shot is fired. And 2. The agents left the scene after the shooting.

No one with at least half a brain is questioning the obvious unnecessary use of deadly force in this circumstance. At least this is the case in law enforcement circles. How politicians spin it is a different story.
There are a lot of people who don't want to believe they were wrong to support the ice escalation. People don't like to believe they were wrong. Even full brained people suffer from that.

The first shot is at 11:52 in that video. We can see that the shooter's legs were clear of the vehicle. He shoots then pulls back his left leg, leaving clearly visible empty space between himself and the car.

These idiots with their 47 days of training are absolutely clueless.

And then fires two additional shots through the driver's side window at point blank range. This is not the work of a seasoned well-trained officer.

Yeah that is what gets me the most. NO REASON for this except malice.

This video makes it obvious she drove right at him, and that he didn’t even take out his gun from his belt thing until she was barreling towards him.

Bullshit. Watch the wheels. She clearly steers AWAY from the officers, not INTO them. VERY clearly.

He was right in front of her car though. She didn’t have room to avoid him. Her car was surrounded by several ICE and she couldn’t drive away without hitting them.

Stopping is an option

It is fine to protest. It is illegal to assault a law enforcement officer with a 4.000 pound SUV.

I'm not claiming that he wasn't dinged by the SUV, I can see in the video that she hit him a little. If he hadn't been shooting at her he could have gotten completely out of the way.

Watch the video again. He deliberately walked in front of the SUV. She didn't deliberately try to hit him. She was trying to leave. She had no way to know for sure that he was actual law enforcement, and ICE aren't supposed to be traffic cops anyhow.

His job is to stop her. JFC

JFC that is NOT his job. He wasn't on traffic duty that day.

He wasn't even prevented from going around her car. He went around her car, parked his car (in the road illegally, I am sure), and walked BACK to confront her.

JFC.

Because if they didn’t show a valid warrant then they were breaking the law! Has anyone even asked?

they were not on active patrol...they were heading back to their HQ for a break...so there was no warrant or frankly, any reason for them to stop, at all

So if an off-duty police officer sees you in trouble, they should not stop to help?
