I thought this might be a fun challenge for the DC Urban Moms.
My favorite girl name is Anna. My husband vetoed that b/c of a family situation. His favorite name is Emily -- I vetoed that because, well, I think it's gotten way too common. So, creative types out there -- what are some good second choice names we should consider? |
Check out the classic names thread.. ![]() |
Both of those are beautiful.
Here are some other ones to consider: Lauren/Laura/Laurel Sarah Elizabeth Jayne/Jane Caroline Catherine/Katherine Julia/Juliet |
What about Emma? sort of a combo - Emily/Anna
I like Marissa and Gwen. But my tastes may be a bit off. |
Lydia and Grace |
Molly, Sylvia, Sophie, Evelyn, Madelyn, Sadie, Jillian, |
I think that is a cute idea! Or Amelia sorta a combo of the two also |
Charlotte, Sadie, Brooke, Ellie, Claire, Lucy, Nell, Rose |
Another "classic names" thread? Ew. |
Please don't choose Sophie. I already know six under the age of five. Julia is a beautiful name, IMHO. |
I agree. I vote for Emma!!! Also like Eva |
I like Emma, but it is right up there with Emily in how commonly it is used. I vote for Amelia. |
I like Amelia, but it is on a top 10 list I saw in the Post the other day (I'll post a link if I can find it).
I, like a pp, also love Julia. |
Amelie
Matilda Francesca Adelaide |
PP here. This is the the WP list:
