Mueller does not find Trump campaign knowingly conspired with Russia

Well, Barr did have to issue two additonal statements after his initial one, so someone or something must be prompting him to keep changing his message.

OMG, really? I didn't KNOW that. Surely Barr then is lying through his teeth and Trump indeed colluded directly with Putin to change votes and STEAL the election

Use the brain God gave you.

DP, I don't think Barr lied through his teeth. I think he very selectively used a 4 partial sentences - passages/phrases, to shape a narrative in his letter. He has already walked back the idea that his letter, as misconstrued by the President, Russian bots and much of the media, as a top line summary of the Mueller Report. Bar left the impression that there was no collusion and there wasn't enough to indict on obstruction, but that the president wasn't exonerated. I think the reality is that Mueller wrote the report for Congress because it is up to the Congress to determine the culpability on both collusion and obstruction. That is neither Barr's nor Mueller role in the case of the President. I will posit that Muller likely told Barr he would go public unless Barr walked it back.

Ultimately, if the DOJ cannot indict a sitting president, then ALL of the evidence MUST be turned over to the Congress, so the Congress can determine if indictment (ie impeachment) is necessary. Trump cannot have it both ways, that he cannot be indicted AND withhold evidence from Congress. That is not the letter or spirit of what the Founders had in mind.

And there's not the littlest bug in your head that says "perhaps I'm being manipulated by the media"? That's what scares me about liberals - they don't seem to want to dive deep, look at anything else but what their emotions dictate. No one is withholding evidence. What you THINK Trump is holding back is not actually what he is - you want to believe that he's holding back information because you can't believe Barr's summary. He MUST be GUILTY in your mind. Keep in mind that Trump is indeed holding back from declassifying a whole host of information that tells the truth about what happened. He's waiting for when he HAS to use it; he doesn't really WANT to. I suspect he's going to have to though.

No, because as someone who has lots of contacts in and around law enforcement and our IC, I have a pretty good sense of what went down and what the truth is.

I'm sure you do! That intelligence community sure was a bunch of liars! Under oath too. And is this the same law enforcement that can't catch killers in DC?

Exactly how is this administration upholding the rule of law?

They said Rs would not accept the results of the election and the Mueller report. This is all hilarious to me. Liberals just can’t deal with losing. Give everyone a trophy mentality has damaged a whole generation

You honestly think this is about winning or losing? You must be one of those spite voters, projecting.

Because the rest of us are worried about the lies and corruption.

Frankly? Yes I do. The moment Dems started talking about R's accepting the results of the election, feeling Hillary was imminent, it was clear where Dems stood.

You can’t see the difference between Trump and the typical GOP president?

It certainly wasn’t a “we lost” freak out. It was a “omg. there is lying, cheating POS in the White House!” freak out. Just ask all of the GOP people who think Trump is horrible.

I actually do see the difference. No typical GOP president could withstand the lies and abuse Trump has withstood, including the accusations of being a lying, cheating POS as you put it. Trump can AND hurls it right back. Good for him. I know personally what it feels like to be falsely accused and investigated - I withstood it too and won in the end. I'm damn proud of him for standing his ground.

https://amgreatness.com/2019/03/31/the-tables-turn-in-russian-collusion-hunt/

The irony of the entire Russian collusion hoax is that accusers who cried the loudest about leaking, collusion, lying, and obstruction are themselves soon very likely to be accused of just those crimes.

Now that Robert Mueller’s 674-day, $30 million investigation is over and has failed to find the original goal of its mandate—evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government to sway the 2016 election—and now that thousands of once-sealed government documents will likely be released in unredacted form, those who eagerly assumed the role of the hunters may become the hunted, due to their own zealous violation of the nation’s trust and its laws.

Did you hear Comey just announced his presidential run? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

Yes, pretty funny. I wonder how many idiots thought that was real.

With that clown? I wouldn't put a damn thing past him.

Wait, are you actually claiming that Trump is not a liar and a cheat? Good lord, no one believes that, not even his supporters. Lying and cheating are ingrained in his character.

Please read the new book out on how he cheats at golf (never mind how he's cheated on his wives). Please read all the lies he's told since becoming President, compiled by the Washington Post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/03/04/president-trump-has-made-false-or-misleading-claims-over-days/?utm_term=.0d64e4dbd3a3

How many lies has he told today? Too hard to keep track.

The law is pretty clear that the report has to be redacted. Judges interpret laws, especially the three you mentioned.

Actually, the law is pretty clear that it has to go to Congress unredacted!!!!

Redactions are only for the public

LOL, I was thinking a few steps ahead already. Sorry, let me explain - if there is indeed sensitive information the report, there is no way that Barr will release it underacted to congress, because they know doing so is as good as providing it to the public underacted. Congressional Democrats will absolutely leak the document to gain political advantage. There is no judicial remedy for enforcing a congressional subpoena so the original PP's question on the potential actions of the three judges is meaningless within that context. My money is on Barr playing hardball and not providing underacted report to congress. He will be held in contempt of congress, just like Eric Holder, Lois Lerner, and Bryan Pagliano were.

I am old enough to remember JUST LAST YEAR when congressional republicans started this by selectively leaking classified material. See Nunes, Jordan and Gowdy. Are you really this obtuse?

??? Of course they did, and of course Democrats will do the same thing. It's just how congress currently works and it's coming from both sides. Are *YOU* really this obtuse?

There is reason not to trust him.
Even the left wing media found his lies unacceptable in 2014. The WaPo said he should be fired. Others called for revoking his security clearance.

How else can you explain why CIA Director John Brennan still has his job? Or how Director of National Intelligence James Clapper remains on the federal payroll? Or why Keith Alexander stepped down as head of the National Security Agency only when he was good and ready?

Each of them lied flagrantly to the American people about vital matters of public concern. None paid a price.

The latest example erupted last week, when the CIA's inspector general confirmed that the agency had hacked into Senate Intelligence Committee computers and read emails sent by staffers. The investigation came after U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., revealed the surreptitious search, charging that the CIA had violated federal law and the Constitution.

At the time, Brennan rejected Feinstein's accusation, insisting that "nothing could be further from the truth."

Places far from the truth are his native land. Only after the inspector general delivered his report was Brennan forced to admit he was wrong about Feinstein's complaint — without revealing whether the falsehood was the result of dishonesty or of ignorance.

Yet President Barack Obama shrugged it all off.
