I find it amazing that people are willing to donate to the gofundme when we don’t have all the facts in the case. This could go 10,000 different ways.

10,000 different ways? Seriously? A woman miscarried a 20 month old fetus into a toilet. Sounds pretty simple to me.

So dont donate. Other people who actually care about her still can.

She is being charged with ABUSE OF CORPSE. Not murder, not child abuse.

Any woman being charged with "abuse of corpse" relating to her dead fetus deserves my help.

She’s raised over $7k. I’m glad.

Why is this off topic? This woman is being prosecuted because of a political hack zealot prosecutor.

Anyway, Ms. Cox in Texas, this woman in OH, Missouri wanting to jail women.

Please consider donating to Ms. Watts go fund me.

If this we’re a man, it would be considered extenuating circumstances.

I used to think that having more women in power would fix this but sadly, lots of women have fallen for the “pro life” BS.

Bet you thought the same thing about Citibike Karen. And the Covington kid. Couldn’t POSSIBLY be any other relevant details that may make a difference.
Can you really not think of even one fact that would change things? Not one?

The main difference is it’s truly none of our business how this woman had a miscarriage. She was denied healthcare and is being charged with a crime after having a miscarriage at home.

The goal of this movement is not “life,” it’s to control and scare women.

Delivering a baby at that term, dead or alive, is every bit as painful as a full-term delivery--I know this, as I have done both, multiple times. You don't just go, oh, I have to pee, and then, hey what was that splash, oh, a baby! Then flush. This wasn't shock. This was foul play. She tried to flush a dead baby down the toilet. And everyone here knows why but won't say. She was very likely covering up a dead baby who had drugs in its system.

This is absolutely ridiculous for you to make this assertion. You have no idea what size that fetus was and why it died in utero. Your personal experience does not mean that you are the expert on the subject. The mother had been under the care of a doctor, had been evaluated at the hospital more than once, and send home to miscarry on her own. The mother had no criminal record of any kind, so why would you assume she was trying to cover up drugs? If this mother was not Black, you wouldn’t be making this accusation.

I really don’t. But just spitballing here - what if she went to the hospital and they said “you need to stay here and let us deliver the baby” and she left AMA? Because she didn’t want to stay? What if they told her that flushing a fetus was illegal and she said “I don’t care I gotta get to work”?

I’m just saying that there’s ALWAYS more to the story (Citibike Karen, Covington), yet people still assume the little info they have is the whole and true story.

People are still saying she was denied medical care at the hospital, yet I don’t believe that’s been verified.

Is it a simple cut and dry story? It very well may be. But just the fact that people refuse to accept that there may be a story that doesn’t fit in with their agenda is scary. It just keeps happening.

Nah. Nobody disputes the key fact here: the fetus was unviable and died in utero. It is literally irrelevant what the hospital told her about where/how to deliver. It should not be a crime of any sort to have a miscarriage or stillbirth and not react in exactly the way the state says to act. Even assuming the very worst facts like she hated the fetus and wanted to disrespect the dead fetus - well all she did was try to flush it (also undisputed). she didn’t do anything worse than that.

So - even taking these facts in the very worst possible light, she still should not be facing any criminal charges.
