Really, a weird game. Cville should have been more dominant from all you hear. Tonight they were “meh.”

Westfield is not a team to sleep on.

How did Westfield punch above their weight in a 10 goal loss? They could not hang with cville and that was evident. The closest the game was 3-2 in the first couple minutes from there on cville went on a run and went up 6-2 when WHS took a timeout. Game was over from then on, WHS had no hope or chance to win after that. The game was out of reach at that point.

Everyone saying cville not impressive? Westfield was not impressive (considering the way they are talked about on this feed). The game wasn’t that competitive and never felt like WHS could win. I will give credit as both teams were off for a week of Spring Break prior and it was a little sloppy at times.

Also on the reffing comment I agree it wasn’t great, but no excuses! Great teams will adjust to the reffing. As we know there are not many “good” refs in the area so we have to deal with this almost every game.

No one is saying CVille is not impressive. But they need to play a top team like Robinson, Battlefield, Oakton, or Madison to get this credit they want so badly.

Amazing wisdom…”just shut down all the best players.” I guess all of those coaches who are just letting the star players run wild because the notion of trying to stop them never crossed their feeble minds, need to be fired. Was the Westfield coach oblivious to Centerville’s best players? Star players present matchup challenges that cannot be fully mitigated unless the opponent has similarly talented and athletic players. Anyone who thinks neutralizing a star player is easy, must not be paying attention to any sport that they are watching.

Here is what I will say about Centreville, it is all on them. We really haven’t seen them challenged yet on their schedule. The only team they have played is Yorktown, but they have been hit or miss. You can’t tell how a team is when they win by ten because you have no idea when they started subbing. So, April 17 will start their season with a band with several tough teams and it will show what they can really do. So, as of right now, congrats to them, and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future

We will see how good CVille is next week. If I was them, I would spend less time on message boards and more time prepping their daughters for Madison and Battlefield.

No one is spending time worrying about Battlefield. The Adults are talking here, the kiddie table is around the corner for them.

Good-so when we run the table next Saturday I’ll be ready for all the excuses.

Let me start with the excuses.

Sun was in my eyes!!!

Rain was in my eyes.

Refs aren’t calling anything.

Refs are calling everything.

Refs are calling it only one way

Our main girl twisted her ankle.

Our main girl hurt her knee.

Our best player is home sick

Our best player is taking the SAT’s

Field conditions weren’t optimal.

Langley 14- McLean 10
Madison 19 - Chantilly 6
Centreville 18 - Westfield 8 (WTF played down a good part of the 2nd half)
Falls Church 6 - Edison 5 OT

Centreville Westfield game… Westfield putting up 8 is pretty good and for being down majority of the 2nd half for all the people thinking it was going to be an absolute blowout…

Centreville also took out their starters and had everyone from the bench the second half

Wrong 22 and others were in till the end getting garbage goals 7 v 5

Well maybe WEstfiled shouldn't have had so many yellow cards.
