Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
+1. This kid does not want a trial by a jury of his peers. 46 miles over the speed limit in a residential area near a school??? |
| What a horrific accident. I noticed the BMW was brand new and didn't even have DMV tags on yet. The driver was speeding at 80 mph .... and he is 18 so he is not going to have it easy. Just a tragic story all around. |
4Runner driver was hit at 81 mph. He’s lucky he didn’t have permanent injuries or die. I have to imagine there are more charges, including reckless driving and for the girl he injured. |
You have NEVER gone over the speed limit? So full of crap. |
Especially in prison, where kid killers aren’t always treated well by other inmates. I hope they seized his passport and put an ankle monitor on him. |
| Misinformation. It was NOT a school zone. |
🙄 |
I have never gone double the posted speed limit. I’ve never gone 46 miles over the speed limit. In fact, I’m 48 and have never gotten a speeding ticket, period. Quit acting like everyone drives 81 mph near schools and neighborhoods. They do not. |
+100 |
Once again, if you can’t see the difference between going 10/15 miles over the speed limit and going more than double the speed limit, YOU ARE A FU@KING MORON, and clearly cannot partake in a rational conversation. |
81? That is weirdly specific. I wonder if they wanted that # to get to a specific charge. These idiots can’t manage to put in traffic calming measures so we really trust them with complex math? The defense will do their own calculations. And they will use experts. |
So you do speed. Sit TF down. |
| This conversation has completely jumped the shark. It's just a giant argument about a news report 2 weeks old. |
Official charges were announced today. |
According to WaPo, that number was provided by the BMW’s onboard sensors. |
