Looks like the 3 pedestrians with life threatening injuries are all juveniles unfortunately. Praying they recover. I hope it is a loooong time before the BMW driver gets behind the wheel again.

Police say three pedestrians — who are all juveniles — suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver and a passenger in the BMW were also taken to the hospital with injuries that are considered non-life-threatening.

(Earlier, police had tweeted that six people were injured in the collision.)

The driver of that speeding BMW, Cory said, was a juvenile, and two passengers in the BMW fled the scene.

Run away from an accident where there are at least 4-5 people injured? Shows a LOT of moral character.

Resident Ashu Pradhan said he heard a crash the crash and looked outside. He saw the BMW stopped outside his house and then saw the girls lying on the ground down the street.

“One lady was performing CPR on the kid. Yeah, she was not responding,” he said. “[…] The other two kids, they were lying there, but at least they had movements. I hope that they made it.”

The young driver of the BMW and his passenger sat on Pradhan’s front lawn, he said. The driver spoke about being scared of his dad’s reaction to the crash, he said.

I see all kinds of bad passenger behavior when school lets out - kids hanging out sun roofs, climbing between seats, messing with the driver. They could have reason to be scared, without being high. Or they could be out without parental permission.

2 OF THE TEENS PASSED AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW SORRY TO THE OAKTON FAMILY, and lets hope there are consequences to the driver of the BMW.

Or he may have been in shock. Teens sometimes shut down when they don't know how to react.

It's horribly tragic, and I'm so very sorry to hear that some of the teens didn't make it. There's a lot to judge about why the kid was driving the way he was.... But I wouldn't judge his initial reaction to what had to have been a nightmare of a situation, even if it was of his own doing.

The teen driver and passengers lives are forever changed.

None of this should have happened. My heart breaks for the community.

This is so sad. So many lives and families changed by this. I had a friend in high school who died in a car accident and so many were affected by it, friends and family.
