Interesting, but the "original terms" included a bunch of debt financing. I'm going out on a limb here, but my guess is that the lenders might not be so eager to lend to the project after Elon's boondongle attempt to get out of the purchase.

GOP billionaire? Foreign interests? Russia? Someone who loves Trump is giving Musk the money to buy Twitter because they've decided that they need it for their political interests.

So Musk basically admitted his bot and fraud claims are total bs and that Twitter is worth the agreed-upon purchase price. If he can’t work out a settlement with Twitter, Musk is totally effed for this trial.

Help me understand - what would be the consequences of the trial? I thought he would have to purchase Twitter (specific performance), but are the other consequences? More than just the cost of trial and attorneys fees?
