Do you think men are more immature than women of the same age more often than not?
|
| Generally yes, but I think it evens out somewhat later on—after 35 or so. |
| OP here. 2 kids: 1 ds and 1 dh. I no longer want to be a mom to the latter... |
|
Dh is 50 (!).

That is, a few years older than me actually, yet, I’m at the point of intolerance of his immaturity. He refuses life coaches or couples therapy or the like. Now, his immature ways are interfering with raising our son. E.g. I asked my son this evening: what did you do at school today? Dh responds right away: nothing!
in a cheerful manner as if it’s a fun joke. I don't get it. Resentment increasing... |
| Uhh |
| Obviously it’s a generalization that doesn’t apply to all men, but yes, they’re more likely to be immature compared to women of the same age. |
Agree. It's best if there is at least a 5 year age gap, unless you want a man who still is chasing tail and partying while you are ready to nest. |
| No just different priorities. |
+ 1 |
+1 I would say between 30 and 35 for most. Even my DH (now 55) says this. |
+1. It's not a maturity question, men and women have different priorities and perspectives. Self-centered people will see the differences as "lack of something"... |
Yes, and the men's priorities tend to be selfish and immature until they hit a certain age. |
Woman here.. ease up. That was lighthearted. I say the same for my kids as a joke because that's what kids usually say until you poke and prod. Geez. And I generally agree that men mature much later in life, but that doesn't mean women should be stuck in the muds. C'mon. Have a sense of humor. You can be funny AND mature at the same time. |
