They pine for the daughter they placed for adoption because that is their story line. Think about it...do you think they really need to still be in touch with the adoption counsellor still? They can go EPISODES without talking about their first child but then they talk and talk about her. The story line about Cait being depressed completely disappeared. (They realized that Dr. Drew telling her she needed to stop smoking weed in the reunion show was cramping her style so she decided to get out of bed a little more.)

It is sad that both Maci and Cait put their kids in daycare when they really aren't working (and Cait uses Butch for childcare!) Yes, I know Maci does TTM but she doesn't need childcare for that as we can see she is out to lunch, in the house, etc. No one is getting up, getting ready, getting out the door and doing a daily grind.

--Separately, did anyone notice the cigarette in Maci's hand (she kinda palmed it) while she was on the couch talking to Taylor in the episode where she called the addiction counsellor?

Farrah has really grown on me in that she is one mom that hasn't had any mom kids and is actually using the boon of TM to plan and provide for her future. Yeah, a porn tape might not be the classiest thing to do, but she capitalized on this opportunity and worked it. Her businesses are all weird and might be shams for something else, but she works her as off. She is doing things. The rest are just loafing and pretending to be busy. Maci's got that tshirt thing going on, but that's about it.

Farrah's mom is a piece of work, though. She would drive me nuts and I think ther have been times when Farrah's been shown actually being patient with her and making a lot of sense, namely about the new boyfriend/fiancé. She asked her to think about if this was someone Deb wanted to allow into their family home and into their life, which is... kind of deep, if you think about it. Deb is just as rude as Farrah is to strangers and service employees, and does have a "we're beetr than them" atttiude. And yes, Farrah gives her money and pays for lots of things. On one ep a few seasons ago, Deb called talking about wanting something (plastic surgery maybe? I forget) and the conversation with Farrah's send wasn't "I'm not sure that's a good idea." It was "I'm not going to spend $xxxx for that, mom."

Yeah, I have to admit that Farrah, out of all of them, is probably the only one who I would say is a success. She knew enough to get pregnant again or shack up with a baby daddy. She realized that she had to do something with the money that was rolling in besides just spend it on herself. She actually is pretty smart compared to all the others.

As for Tyler and Cate, they should move. It will be an experience for them and might help them break the cycle.

I wouldn't classify Farrah as a success for a variety of reasons:

--Vanity: she's a hot mess looks wise. Huge, fake boobs, huge, fake lips, long, fake hair, overdone makeup

--Family: way she treats her family, way she treats motherhood (foisting Sophia off all the time to do other reality shows, putting her on this show when she's acting bratty - i.e. being lifted by a bellhop to be carried to her acting lesson which sounds more like a reading tutoring session, getting your kid to wear making in early elementary school)

--Values - porn tape which she then failed to own and lied about and was instead a sex tape that was about to get out so she sold, selling plastic molds of her body, hosting parties at strip clubs for money,

--Jobs - she's all over the place (furniture, yogurt, kids' clothing, porn, gentlemen's clubs, plastic body parts, Italian sauce). It's essentially a sure fire way to do a bunch of stuff, none of it well. Guess this is how she got herself caught posting online on Yelp giving herself good reviews. Do you know anyone who branches out like that who is successful? She'll blow through her money that way. What she needs to do is FOCUS and LEARN instead of thinking she knows it all.

Ego: The way she talks to her employees, parents, boyfriend, MTV producer, mother's boyfriend, etc - she knows more than everyone, is a bigger star than everyone, is better than everyone, etc. She has no desire to fix anything within herself, to learn anything, to be thankful, to be grateful, to be humble, to be an equal. She expects adoration at all times.

Just because she has a lot of businesses and isn't pregnant or married young doesn't make her a success.

+1. People can say what they want about Maci but I think she's done a lot to create stability and normalcy in Bentley's life and I respect that way more than I do Farrah and her "businesses".

Farrah is horrible. Her kid seems so odd and I hate how she talks to her daughter likes she's her best friend and she's 6 and her kid. That daughter needs school. Constantly moving is weird.

I agree that Maci has done the most with giving her child a stable life. She is really trying to be a good mom to her kids. She seems the most responsible.

I feel sad for Amber. She's made bad decisions. I hope she ditches the loser fiancé and works more on herself and gaining more custody of her daughter. I do think her and Gary and his wife have raised a normal sweet girl considering.

Sorry, nothing makes Farrah look like June Cleaver. Farrah, alone, screamed at Larry the producer. Farrah, alone, did porn and then later tried to pretend that it was some kind of assault done on her. (It was during the marriage show with Dr. Jen. She was forbidden under her contract with Vivid to reveal how the tape came about but she apparently told Dr. Jen secretly who later told the audience it was the most horrific information she'd ever heard. B.S. Farrah voluntarily did porn and later lied about it.) Farrah went on the same marriage show ALONE because the guy she was apparently dating ditched her. Farrah leaves her kid routinely to go on reality shows, to host at strip clubs, etc. Farrah has had so much plastic surgery she looks like Jessica Rabbit (aka a clownish cartoon character that is made up because no one really looks like that). Farrah calls her own birth father Michael for a variety of reasons (meaning, she can't get her story straight why she does it).

Farrah looks cray cray all on her own. Farrah also raises conversations to yelling when her mom remains very calm. Haven't you noticed that?

What makes you think that the mom's boyfriend is clearly unstable? Is he warm and loving? No, not necessarily. He is who he is (watching Is he supportive of Debra and wants Farrah to be respectful? Is he not kissing Farrah's ass? Yep.

I didn't notice it when she was on the couch, but the second phone call in the baby's room, there was a cigarette in her hand and then on the ground beside her next to the green cup. When MTV panned the scene after hanging up, the cigarette was gone.

It was hard to watch Ryan. I cannot for the life of me why M stayed in the car. Why didn't she switch and drive? She has her own child, why put herself in that risky situation?
On top of the fact that your fiancee can't even be sober for your wedding. That is how you want it to happen for you? Rushed, last minute because of a custody issue while he is drugged up and his mother is sobbing in the background? I get the actual wedding was still to come but come on.
Also, what is the policy for production? Do they have any obligation to intervene watching him drive in that condition?

Production didnt watch him drive in that condition. It was a mounted camera that got the shot. The outside shot of him serving in another lane doesn't prove he was in drugs driving. The only camera capturing that was the one in the car...which was an u

I think if producers had been present, they would have intervened, especially with the 4th wall being broken. They called 911 when Jenelle and Nathan were violently fighting and Nathan locked them out of the house. The recording was played during the episode, but framed as the neighbors calling. It seems that they will intervene in a truly dangerous/life-threatening situation. All of the car scenes are filmed with mounted cameras.
