More importantly, no mention in that write-up of either the Indy slasher and/or related head coach - are they both gone? Think folks are underestimating step up from 5A to 6A.

I don’t think there is even a step. Indy’s schedule is so easy. Battlefield makes the state championship almost every year cuz there is no competition in that conference.

They make it because VA public school lacrosse is average. Team like BTF and Madison would never make it that far in a place like FL.

Florida public school lacrosse is better than Va public school lacrosse? Florida is the land of D2 lax and they recruit as much as they can from outside the state vs. their own public school kids for a reason. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Several prominent privates played in Florida last spring. The rosters of the Florida teams, public and private, were filled with CT/NY/NJ transplant families. The kids had all moved there sometime in the last 10 years. While not growing their own talent yet, the level of play in Florida is much higher than VA and MD publics.

Where did Florida man come from?

Light ridge winning it all this season mark my words.

YES, Completely agree. Light Ridge has been practicing in the snow, so you know there ready for anything.

I thought owen grozkowski was the Indy slasher

You all blind?
On the offensive end of the field, a pair of Roanoke bound seniors lead the way in the form of Cooper Woodring and Marino Yozzi. Woodring, who quarterbacks the offense, was a First Team All-State selection last spring while amassing 103 points, while the incredibly speedy Yozzi tallied an impressive 52 assists.
Who is Yozzi sounds like a bum

VA public school lacrosse is very average- no reason to show how weak they are against the privates- every body already knows it.

Independence is better than 32 of the 39 privates. But agree no match for the elite privates. Most of the privates are very average with exception of the top 10 that are able to attract and recruit the top talent.

Proves my point- according to you the best public is still behind at least 7 privates- maybe equal to 1 or 2- and VA privates aren’t that damn good to start with- especially when compared to regional teams.

Hey, a Lightridge player showed up.

Will this mercer commit for westpo carry them to another state title?

I believe that Robinson's offense will be more productive this year than last year. Too much reliance on #21 last year. They have some guys who can put the ball in the net and will be forced to play as more of a team on O this year.

Langley doesn’t nearly have enough depth to compete with teams like indy. IMHO indy wins the state. Langley is the most over hyped team i’ve heard of, they do not have anyone on defense that can hang with some of these talented 6a offenses.

Have you seen the kid play? He’s unquestionably among the top defenders in Virginia. I guarantee you, he has very attractive offers from credible schools. He’s playing club for a top-tier team with elite players and consistently delivers multiple highlight-reel plays each game. In my opinion, he’s underrated and deserves significantly more respect. He may have been a bit aggressive in the past, but boys learn from their mistakes and mature. This kid commands respect and should be watched more closely, especially given the impressive accolades and recognition he’s already earned.
