And? So? Do you know anything at all about what other countries do? Here’s a list of the top 10 universities in the UK with the highest number for foreign students. They are all public institutions. And they all charge much higher tuition to foreign students than to UK citizens.

1. **University College London (UCL)** - 24,145 international students
2. **University of Manchester** - 18,170 international students
3. **University of Edinburgh** - 18,050 international students
4. **University of Glasgow** - 17,390 international students
5. **King’s College London** - 17,155 international students
6. **University of the Arts London** - 14,395 international students
7. **University of Oxford** - 12,250 international students
8. **University of Warwick** - 11,800 international students
9. **Coventry University** - 11,535 international students
10. **University of Birmingham** - 10,655 international students

These stats are for the 2021/2022 academic year.

And then there’s Saint Andrews in Scotland, a school, which is talked about on the Education Forum form time to time. “Approximately 45% of students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland are international, representing over 135 countries. Of these international students, about 34.7% are American, with around 1,600 U.S. students enrolled out of a total student population of 10,234.”

If I went to a school outside the US, I would be pissed if it was 34% US citizens.

How does this make Americans lives better? International students create jobs and they make college for Work Families more affordable.

Ha Ha trumpy! Take THAT, fatso!

What are you gonna do about it? Huh??

There are thousands of universities. Why are you wasting your time trying to to mold Harvard into the thing that you desire. you are wasting your time and energy. Pursue the institution that offers what you want and go for it.

Diversity of political view is not a type of diversity the Ivies will tolerate.

Seems like it’s Trump that’s being intolerant, dear.

Yes, he’s intolerant of the antisemites & foreign students harassing & stealing.

How many conservative speakers were invited to share their views at Harvard, dear?

Here’s the thing I don’t get, dear. If all of these Ivies are liberal indoctrination machines, why do these rich conservative people keep wanting to send their kids to them?

I would never send my child to Harvard, are you crazy?
- a rich conservative

Agree, though I’m neither rich nor conservative.

You could not pay me enough to send either of my children to Harvard.

It’s fine to have a completely independent organization that has an international focus but then they should play by different rules than colleges for American students play by.

It is a private school and can admit whoever it wants.

And you know what, all of those public flagships also want the best and brightest from around the world. And all of those foreign students pay full freight and offset the tuitions for the instate and scholarship kids from the USA. A win-win that if it goes away, will put hundreds of schools out of business.

It may be a private school, but it receives billions of taxpayer dollars, which means it has to play by the rules set forth by government.

The rules are not decided arbitrarily by the president, esp after the fact. And they set those rules when they apply for grants and receive them, so again...

This move by Trump is not because they "broke the rules." It is because they would not release PRIVATE STUDENT DATA.

At least try to get your talking points straight with Trump's various illegal tantrums

Harvard wants to turn its back on the American people while hiding behind American laws and taking American money. It's basically the MO of the rootless cosmopolitan.

Harvard really should decamp in a huff to some other country where they can be as foreign as they like.
