Well, it looks like a couple people are listing them. There are public school from all over the country, players from other countries, players from privates in the hinterlands that are not top privates, in addition to players from non top privates in actual hotbeds --- everywhere. Including top 5 schools, which means they beat out the vast majority of top private school players for spots. It is not necessary to go to a top private. |
| The player just needs to be so good that it doesn't matter where they go to high school; what matters is how they perform in tournament games when coaches are watching. It's quite simple. |
Watch out. Gonna be some high tuition payers comin' at ya. Plus there's the value in a private school education. You got it. Many don't. |
| Newsflash: all the top-tier lax athletes out there are actually grinding outside of team practices! Yep, they’re putting in the time, fine-tuning their skills, and working on their game outside of the usual team practices—whether it's for a club or high school. At the end of the day, it’s not about your club or high school; it’s about the player. If they’ve got dreams of being a top player, guess what? It’s all on your player to level up! Those top Capital & M/D girls train outside of team practices YEAR ROUND. |
The question was: which top 5 D1s have public school players from the DMV. Severna Park isn’t DMV. If McLean is correct (is it?), that’s one. Point made was that the DC area isn’t like other regions where public schools generate strong lax talent. Facts thus far support it. |
Could probably go top 10 or even 15 and still be left with one. Point has been made regardless. |
If the player doesn't play for a top club team, there won't be a lot of coaches watching. |
its actually a shame and just leads to more and more kids thinking they have to go private...if they all stayed public would be great.... to each their own and for what it is worth plenty of public school girls going to solid schools from Capital this year |
. The point was made that correlation does not imply causation, and that is correct. |
William & Mary, Colgate, Boston....all public school girls |
Correct. Not top lacrosse schools. Good academic, not good lacrosse. |
Clearly. There is a positive correlation in the DC area, but that's about all you can say. |
Could you make a list of the top 10 performers in the FF from top DMV privates in say the last 2 years? |
