DM is reporting that Charles ordered the 2 couples to appear together so I’d imagine there were tensions.

I imagine Kate was annoyed with Will for 1) allowing Meghan to come and 2) making her play nice with Meghan. Kate has always behaved the best of everyone. She must be at the end of her rope.

I think H and M can “get away” with holding hands since they are not senior royals anymore. From what I’ve read W and K are way, way more constrained by what is “expected” from them.

This is nonsense. Camilla and Charles have more obvious affection between them and he’s the highest ranked of the three.

I remember reading somewhere that W&K were discouraged from showing PDAs on official business because the Queen said once you show physical affection, people will continue to expect it, and will read things into you not showing it tomorrow or the day after. Much safer to not do it ever.
