She has bad COVID at least once, if not more times.

It seemed bad when they said William was going to be by her side, that really bad if Harry and Meghan are allowed/want to be there.

This doesn’t sound good. I know she’s 96 but it seems very sudden since just a couple of days ago she was at an event.

That’s what I’m thinking. It sounds like they were already in Europe anyway though.

She's not ill, she's old and dying. To be expected at 96, not "very sudden" either. Since her husband died, she's been on borrowed time.

changing of the guard at 6 pm local time called off, looks like she died

Are there official reports that she’s passed or just people guessing?

It’s guessing but all signs are pointing toward it.

Didn’t she meet with the new prime minister yesterday? Pretty impressive that she was doing royal duties to the very end.

She fulfilled her promise and kept a word of dedicating her life to service. You have to admire a woman like that.

I will say, even though this may seem rude, that the royal family and UK media have handled this flawlessly. They've been consistently messaging the Queen's decline for several months in a compassionate and dignified way. No one will be shocked by the news even if they are sad.

It's not the royals or the UK media - its the palace press office

They've done a very sensitive and masterful job. Hopefully, none of her relatives will use this time to make things more difficult or go on speaking tours that would add to any stress she's experiencing.
