| I'm 39 and sex has felt awful after both my babies were born. I've done my best to just...get through it. I've tried creams, pills, this that and the other. The last few times, I've basically just let it happen even though it is extremely painful. But last night it hurt so bad I just couldn't let it happen. |
| Have you talked to your dr? |
| See your doctor for heaven's sake! |
| Did you see a gynecologist for this? |
| Wtf OP go see your doctor? Seems that you’ve let this happen for years?? Unless you’re a troll. |
| Same boat. No fun possible after second kid. I’m going to see a pelvic floor physical therapist soon. Get a referral from your ob. |

My doctor says that physically, everything looks fine. She's recommended special lubes, etc. That's what I meant by "creams, pills, this that and the other."
I HAVE done everything my doctor recommended. |
My sympathy! Good luck. I hope it goes well. I've had two C-sections, and my doctor says my vagina looks fine, normal, healthy, etc. |
|
go to another doctor, a pelvic floor specialist.
also, sex can be more than penetration - maybe take that off the menu for now? are you still breastfeeding? I had a friend who had terrible pelvic pain until she weaned. |
| Oh, no. I’d get a second opinion. We can’t have been the first two women to go through this. |
Thanks! |
| Are you sure it's not mental? If you viewed your childbirth experience as traumatic, there might be a mental component. |
huh? the pain could be caused by injured nerves or muscle spams. how your vagina (and vulva!) look are not necessarily part of the diagnosis. |
just stop. vulvar & vaginal pain are real things. |
| Do you get aroused? Is your husband into foreplay? It makes more of a difference than ever 35+ |
