Yes I admit to taking factual data from multiple sources and aligning them in a single matrix. 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 + younger = Senior 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 + younger = Junior 11v11 = U17 = 8/1/2010 + younger = Sophmore 11v11 = U16 = 8/1/2011 + younger = Freshman 11v11 = U15 = 8/1/2012 + younger = 8th grade 11v11 = U14 = 8/1/2013 + younger = 7th grade 11v11 = U13 = 8/1/2014 + younger = 6th grade 9v9 = U12 = 8/1/2015 + younger = 5th grade 9v9 = U11 = 8/1/2016 + younger = 4th grade 7v7 = U10 = 8/1/2017 + younger = 3rd grade 7v7 = U9 = 8/1/2018 + younger = 2nd grade 4v4 = U8 = 8/1/2019 + younger = 1st grade 4v4 = U7 = 8/1/2020 + younger = kindergarten |

Data has to be correct for it to be useful, reliable.
Like this on and not the above. The way I read this is kids born in 2020 can try out for u19, is that correct? |
This is too clear. Can we add shoe size as an additional dimension? |
Hahaha pathetic 🤣 😂 🙄 😅 😆 |

Way better for parents and clubs...

| People have gone off the deep end with this one |
| You two are cute and made for each other. Those of us that can see next year’s rosters know the truth. |
| Would like others opinion on something- have a player with an August birthday. Club wants her to continue to play up. Not really giving her the choice to play with her correct grade. Shouldn’t it be the player’s choice? Feel like the club is prioritizing the club/team needs over what is best for our daughter. |
First when you say playing up do you mean with your daughter's current BY team when we change to SY this fall. Or when you say playing up do you mean playing on the correct grade in school team this fall when SY starts. Its kind of confusing to think about and until SY kicks in this fall you need to be very clear with your definition because playing up means different things to different people. I'm just going to assume that you mean this fall. Because your kid is an August birthday currently in BY they are playing on a team mostly made up of players a grade older then they are. This fall when we switch to SY if you dont play up your kid will be the one player a grade older than everyone else on the team. In this situation most players would choose to play up on the team with players their grade in school. If your club isnt allowing Aug birthdays to play up on the team with players their grade in school talk to your coach and DOC. Explain the issue and say that this is very important to you. If the club ignores your request. Go to another club and explain your situation. Most likely they'll offer your kid a spot then and there. Clubs that wont let players play up on the team thats their grade in school are being dumb. They'll quickly change when players start leaving over it. But arrogance mixed with ignorance sometimes make things take longer to happen. |
Yes, that is how the rules are currently written. There are no limits on how many levels a player can play up. I get that you're trying to poke holes in the logic. But I didnt make the rules I'm just relaying the rules as they exist in a more consumable format. 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 + younger = Senior 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 + younger = Junior 11v11 = U17 = 8/1/2010 + younger = Sophmore 11v11 = U16 = 8/1/2011 + younger = Freshman 11v11 = U15 = 8/1/2012 + younger = 8th grade 11v11 = U14 = 8/1/2013 + younger = 7th grade 11v11 = U13 = 8/1/2014 + younger = 6th grade 9v9 = U12 = 8/1/2015 + younger = 5th grade 9v9 = U11 = 8/1/2016 + younger = 4th grade 7v7 = U10 = 8/1/2017 + younger = 3rd grade 7v7 = U9 = 8/1/2018 + younger = 2nd grade 4v4 = U8 = 8/1/2019 + younger = 1st grade 4v4 = U7 = 8/1/2020 + younger = kindergarten |
Daughter is a 8th grader currently playing with mostly 9th graders. Club wants her to continue to play on her current team (U16 next year) rather than repeating U15 and playing with her correct grade. It’s a small club. I know it’s better for the club for her to continue to play with her team but not sure it’s the best thing for her. We are going to check out other clubs. |

One of my team's dad asked to my club (MLS Next AD, North Division) this morning about his son:
"Kid born 2012 August 19th, now 7th grade at school. Could he play next season U14?" Answer: "No, it's not allowed, he will play U15". |
|
Club cannot impose that to your daughter. You just take her to tryouts age bracket that you decide. |
