Biden's VP?

Anonymous
I think it will be Klobucher or Harris. Biden knows both well. Both have been vetted extensively. Both have shown they can campaign and debate. Both have national name recognition. Both know the national issues. None of the state level folks can say any of that.

G.W. I think it will be her.

Ready on day one was a big clue.

I like her but she is too inexperienced as a first term governor. The New Mexico governor or Klobuchar probably have more experience to deal with extremely challenging and complex circumstances likely to be ongoing ...

That's going to generate zero sizzle.

If you wanted any sizzle you wouldn't have picked Biden to begin with.

Whitmer doesn't have the gravitas I'm looking for. Amy lacks charisma, but she is a more solid pick, in my opinion. I'm open to others as well. Whitmer needs at least 5 more years to prove her chops.

Haha, such a crusty establishment thing to say--wait your turn, missy! Whitmer is attractive, fresh-faced and on cable news every day. In five years she won't be any of those things. You strike while the iron is hot, see: BARACK OBAMA.

None of those things are importsnt to me in hiring a VP. I don't need someone to be "attractive", "fresh faced, " or "on cable news every day. " Trump is on cable news everyday...doesn't make him capable.

I wish Witmer gave me more confidence. Kamala and Kirsten are attractive...I wasn't impressed with their depth/breadth either. I'd like a female Cuomo (i.e. a younger Pelosi). Whitmer leaves me wanting more substance.

Whitmer has banned the use of the malaria drug for corona. That's kind of spiteful and useless. Political move on her part. Not a good look. Just like blaming the feds when she had not even submitted FEMA request.

Link for the bolded? I read that Michigan was going to investigate improper prescriptions which is not the same.

DP. But Whitmer has no experience in Washington. Her experience prior to being governor was 15 years in the state legislature.

Grisham (of NM) has 3 terms/6 years as a US Congresswoman. Her experience in Washington will be helpful as VP. As VP she would be President of the Senate and would have additional responsibilities as delegated by Biden to negotiate with various Representatives and Senators on behalf of the POTUS. As the chair of the Congresional Hispanic Caucus, she had a leadership position in Congress and so has experience working with both the US House and the US Senate.

The drug that was based on a grifter’s lying “study,” the one that it’s used to treat lupus and is getting so scarce they can’t get it? Right move. Good job, Whitmer.
