Did Jack die of smoke inhalation or unrelated cardiac causes? It seems like his smoke inhalation wasn't too extreme as he was able to breathe and passed all the doctors tests. The fire and exposure to smoke put undue stress on his heart and caused the death.

Did you not hear the Dr. explain it? He said smoke inhalation can stress the heart and cause a heart attack, and your husband just had a heart attack.

You would have thought they would have had him in bed hooked to monitors and such if he was at risk. They should sue the hospital and pay for all the kids to go to college at a minimum.

How does Rebecca make ends meet after his death? Isn’t she a stay at home mom with no career? It seems her mother is wealthy; does she have a trust?

When Rebecca sort of yelled at Miguel. “If you can’t hold it together, I need you to go walk around the block!”

She sounded just like Jack. Something he would say, taking charge.

It will be interesting to see Rebecca parent these kids alone. If they show it.

The one thing that got me to cry (I think because I knew it was coming so I wasn't as choked up) was the older Tess twist, I don't know there was something incredible and quiet about it

Agreed PP. I couldn't stop crying. I was thinking that Randall and Beth were going to receive a call requesting to foster that little boy...never even thinking that it was the future.

The kids are seniors. I’m pretty sure that Kate and Kevin don’t end up going to college, and that Randall would’ve gotten a scholarship, so there wasn’t much raising left for her to do. Hopefully there’s life insurance to at least get her a place to live.

They must’ve saved something for college. If Kate and Kevin don’t go to college, she can live on those funds.

Older Rebecca is doing well. She has a nice house and even eats organic food and has a kitchen aid. Is that all migels money?

I think that the previews to the next episode allude to life insurance - Jack saying something about wanting to make sure his family is taken care of.

Yes, and when she was in front of the vending machine, she heard him say "Becs" as he was dying, and she turned around.
