This is the team that started out hot in middle school and ninth grade, and then fell apart under that coach. About half got recruited under her. Doesn’t sound positive.

This team also went from being a top 20 team to currently being ranked 63. And no, they did not lose a ton to Capital

I don’t look for any of the teams to look different next year. They will all wait until high school to make any moves.

No one from Pride is leaving. Everyone said this every year, and nothing happens

False. There will be departures. Book it

Pride girls might see a move to Stars as being a solid strategic move in preparation for Capital but I am not so sure. The strongest players on Pride don't need an extended Capital tryout - they are going to make it ether way. For some other players, an extended tryout might actually be harmful as it could highlight deficiencies that might be developed over the next year or missed entirely in a tryout situation a year from now. You definitely would not want to be in a situation where you burn your bridge at Pride, get cut from Capital next summer, and then have to find somewhere else to land. For most girls, staying on Pride is probably the best move.

I super glad that this Pride parent has it all mapped out for all of the families on Pride.

How about this, parents, make the best decision for your family. Don’t listen to anyone on this stupid board

Bravo! On your third attempt you finally made it past Jeff's profanity and nonsense filter. Excellent and insightful post, by the way.

Who said anything about the girls leaving for Stars? Bad assumption but they are leaving for greener pastures

No, I don't think this is correct. There are some players who could probably play for an MD team but they made a decision long ago not to do that. If not Stars, there don't seem to be any greener pastures.

The Pride 2028s, on the other hand, will likely lose players to Capital. I have heard pretty good things about the current Pride 2024 Black coaches. For the 8th grade year in isolation, it seems like the consensus view is the coaching change is a positive development. OC will be the new 2028 head coach, FWIW.

What is the greener pasture then? I ask that because most posters here are trolls or don't have a clue and you come across as being one of those in the absence of anything more than your QAnon-like conspiracy theory.

What is the bad information?

Stars is not a better team or club situation at this point. May be someday for younger classes with investment, but not next year, and not at the 2028 level.

Without a family move, or a dedicated limo driver, playing for a Baltimore team is not really a reasonable option for NoVA-based players, especially if they have a rigorous academic program to manage as well.

Yes. And the Next Level 28s are just as bad. A group of talented girls went to Hero's...they are 3rd in the country currently.

I watched it too. Hero's and Pride looked to be pretty similar from a talent perspective. Hero's probably belongs somewhere between 10 and 20 in the rankings, which of course is still pretty good. There is a big gap between the real top teams and Hero's and Pride.

This right here. Big drop off from the top 3 28 teams, M&D, MDU and Coppermine to Hero's. Hero's doesn't have the talent that those top 3 do. If the PP thinks the Pride parents are bad, the Hero's parents are worse.

Following up on this. We (Hero's) are now ranked 3rd in the country, under only Eagle Stix and Coppermine. So....

Back to to I’m so sorry parent. Why has the club not taken action.

Hero's bounced back from losing to Crush in NGLL playoffs and is playing well this tournament season.

Can't see the original quote, but the LFTC game between Hero's and Pride was legitimately close--that 2 goal swing at the end could have gone either way. There was no holding the ball for 8 mins. A fast-paced, physical game, and one of Pride's better games this month. Pride appears to match up better against Hero's than some of the other top 6 teams, as they only lost by 1 in a November game as well.

Everyone always thinks M and D is the greatest of all time at every age level. They are good, but not the best at the 28 age level

Quick question, I just looked on Club Lax rankings. Is Next Level not participating in any summer tournaments? There are no scores listed
