| Maybe I had too high expectations but I've found CCRM NoVa to be very disorganized at least in the front office. They got my blood orders mixed up, called the wrong pharmacy, repeated taking vitals, etc. Please tell me that the doctors and lab there make this all worth it. |
| OMG, I thought it was just me, but we switched to Dominion and it's been much better. |
| Who is your nurse? |
Jaime is my nurse |
Why did you switch to Dominion? Because of that or something more? I am really hoping I did not just put all my eggs in this basket as I (foolishly) thought that CCRM was going to be the panacea (or at least be a game changer). |
| Welcome to ivf. Par for the course at the 4 centers I've been to (both local and oos). You have to be on top of your nurse, billing department, pharmacy, and insurance company (if you are lucky). Question anything that doesn't make sense. |
I did 4 cycles at GW before switching and found their front office pretty organized and watertight. |
| Can anyone share if there’s a wait for monitoring |
|
I had an all-around great experience at CCRM (did 3 previous fresh cycles and many FETs at GW that were nothing but headaches). I found everyone I interacted with to be very caring, compassionate, and professional. I did not encounter any disorganization.
With monitoring, you get an appointment time always with your primary doctor. No set monitoring hours or waiting in line for a spot. My RE would schedule me later around 10 AM, as I had a long drive from Baltimore. I found them to be very accommodating of my schedule. |
thanks. Did you have success there yet? Who was your Dr? |
I saw Dr. M, and Maureen was my nurse. Both were awesome. My nurse at GW was awful (she sent me the wrong medication dosages with someone else’s monitoring results once). From experience, I strongly believe a good nurse makes all the difference in having things run smoothly. My first transfer with CCRM was successful. I’m 11 weeks, but I’m taking things very cautiously as I have a history of recurrent pregnancy loss. Good luck! |
| I liked CCRM for the short time I was there but did find Jaime to be nice but a little disorganized. Consider asking for another nurse to compare. I think the nurse makes the difference. |
| I haven't had any problems at CCRM. I have found my nurse and the front staff to be very organized. i haven't felt like I need to stay on top of them at all. My doctor, Dr. Owen is also amazing. |
| Maureen is an amazing nurse! If you’re able to switch to her I would highly reco. Jamie is nice, but younger and Maureen just knows her stuff really well. |
+1 to this. Jamie is nice, but Maureen is the best nurse there so def ask for her. |
