here you go 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 and younger = Senior 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 and younger = Junior 11v11 = U17 = 8/1/2010 and younger = Sophmore 11v11 = U16 = 8/1/2011 and younger = Freshman 11v11 = U15 = 8/1/2012 and younger = 8th grade 11v11 = U14 = 8/1/2013 and younger = 7th grade 11v11 = U13 = 8/1/2014 and younger = 6th grade 9v9 = U12 = 8/1/2015 and younger = 5th grade 9v9 = U11 = 8/1/2016 and younger = 4th grade 7v7 = U10 = 8/1/2017 and younger = 3rd grade 7v7 = U9 = 8/1/2018 and younger = 2nd grade 4v4 = U8 = 8/1/2019 and younger = 1st grade 4v4 = U7 = 8/1/2020 and younger = kindergarten |
Its obviously for this Fall when SY starts. I like the decider ring |
Because it's not about school grade and never was and never will be |

The correct one or go to the calculator.

The issue is clubs are dumb and arrogant. The people at leagues are even more dumb and arrogant. Parents need to call them out or they'll make poor decisions. The age guy is exploiting the situation because he wants to play down and if more parents are doing it with him he wont look as weird. He doesnt care that Aug birthdays playing down a grade will makes them misaligned with level played in club and grade in school which will screw players over when college coaches are looking to recruit them. |
Yet the entire BY to Szy change was predicated on less trapped in a grade above players. |
Only calendar age groups exist School grade groups do not exist Can't have misalignment with a single entity |
Matrix that actually has the info people need 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 + younger = Senior 11v11 = U18/U19 = 8/1/2008 + younger = Junior 11v11 = U17 = 8/1/2010 + younger = Sophmore 11v11 = U16 = 8/1/2011 + younger = Freshman 11v11 = U15 = 8/1/2012 + younger = 8th grade 11v11 = U14 = 8/1/2013 + younger = 7th grade 11v11 = U13 = 8/1/2014 + younger = 6th grade 9v9 = U12 = 8/1/2015 + younger = 5th grade 9v9 = U11 = 8/1/2016 + younger = 4th grade 7v7 = U10 = 8/1/2017 + younger = 3rd grade 7v7 = U9 = 8/1/2018 + younger = 2nd grade 4v4 = U8 = 8/1/2019 + younger = 1st grade 4v4 = U7 = 8/1/2020 + younger = kindergarten |
Except college coaches told clubs they don't care what age groups recruits are in. You are inventing a problem that doesn't exist so no, leagues and clubs aren't going to try to fix something that doesn't exist. |
Nobody needs a table of wrong data. You sure you got a kid playing soccer? |
Looks 100% correct to me. What do you see thats wrong? |
Why do you just repeat the same wrong statements. College coaches only care about a players graduating year or grade in school. Which if parents followed your advice would lead Aug birthdays to being misaligned between level played in club and grade in school. College Coaches will ignore this type of player. Can you address the issue by attending oollege camps? Maybe but why even play club soccer if you plan to get noticed at college id camps not club events? |
Soooo much better |
How is this all your problem? How do you benefit if Sept kids become the oldest? If you have an August kid, just do what is right be your kid. No need to post incessantly when all the decisions have been made. Leagues going 8/1-7/31 except MLSN1, local clubs as always generally restrict playing up to a few, the best players. The last last useful bit on the thread was Bethesda not forcing kids to play up and mention they don't care about grades. This is issue is finalized. |
Very clear, no spin. Eastside https://www.eastsidefc.org/agegroups Will this impact college recruiting? The new two-year age group structure will not negatively impact college recruiting. College coaches evaluate players based on their performance, development, and potential—not the exact age grouping of their club team. |
