This one is correct.
Youth soccer age groups fall 2026 Fall 2026 Age Group Matrix (Birthdate Range) U7: Aug 1, 2019 – Jul 31, 2020 U8: Aug 1, 2018 – Jul 31, 2019 U9: Aug 1, 2017 – Jul 31, 2018 U10: Aug 1, 2016 – Jul 31, 2017 U11: Aug 1, 2015 – Jul 31, 2016 U12: Aug 1, 2014 – Jul 31, 2015 U13: Aug 1, 2013 – Jul 31, 2014 U14: Aug 1, 2012 – Jul 31, 2013 U15: Aug 1, 2011 – Jul 31, 2012 U16: Aug 1, 2010 – Jul 31, 2011 U17: Aug 1, 2009 – Jul 31, 2010 U18: Aug 1, 2008 – Jul 31, 2009 U19: Aug 1, 2007 – Jul 31, 2008 |

That's been the way. Complaining to clubs to try to engineer an advantage for your kid gets punished. Seen it multiple times. |
Says the guy thats trying to convince Aug birthdays to play down + be misaligned and screwed over when college recruiting occurs. |
Sorry but this is much easier to understand 8/1/2009 and younger = Senior 8/1/2009 and younger = Junior 8/1/2011 and younger = Sophmore 8/1/2012 and younger = Freshman 8/1/2013 and younger = 8th 8/1/2014 and younger = 7th 8/1/2015 and younger = 6th 8/1/2016 and younger = 5th 8/1/2017 and younger = 4th 8/1/2018 and younger = 3rd 8/1/2019 and younger = 2nd 8/1/2020 and younger = 1st 8/1/2021 and younger = kindergarten |
You don't know recruiting, college coaches don't care about your age group (proven below). Become the best player you can which based on RAE and the Matthew Effect is being on the older side of the age group. Eastside says Will this impact college recruiting? The new two-year age group structure will not negatively impact college recruiting. College coaches evaluate players based on their performance, development, and potential—not the exact age grouping of their club team. |
That one is butchered. The PP offers a correct table. |
Its the same thing |
So is it a single wide open tryout with all kids there from 2008 to 2013 and whoever the best players are make the 2008 team? Second best group plays 2009, etc? |
It isn't. Grade doesn't equate perfectly (=) to birthdates. Always been the problem. Age based is not grade based. Kids go to school at different times, get held back, bounce grades and sometimes go to schools without grades. Birthdays are factual. This one below is from the official body. It is correct. Not kind of sort of with butchered info that is wrong. See below or the calculator. Youth soccer age groups fall 2026 Fall 2026 Age Group Matrix (Birthdate Range) U7: Aug 1, 2019 – Jul 31, 2020 U8: Aug 1, 2018 – Jul 31, 2019 U9: Aug 1, 2017 – Jul 31, 2018 U10: Aug 1, 2016 – Jul 31, 2017 U11: Aug 1, 2015 – Jul 31, 2016 U12: Aug 1, 2014 – Jul 31, 2015 U13: Aug 1, 2013 – Jul 31, 2014 U14: Aug 1, 2012 – Jul 31, 2013 U15: Aug 1, 2011 – Jul 31, 2012 U16: Aug 1, 2010 – Jul 31, 2011 U17: Aug 1, 2009 – Jul 31, 2010 U18: Aug 1, 2008 – Jul 31, 2009 U19: Aug 1, 2007 – Jul 31, 2008 |
In BY and SY players can play up but players can't play down based on.... guess what? Age, not grade. |
Apparently 🤣 |
| Why does the calculator include a 3rd age range from 9/1 to 8/31? I thought it was either 8/1 or BY. |

Fall 2026 Grade matrix with dumb july 31 date that doesnt matter.

This seems off by one grade level unless everyone was held back. I guess this is the problem with mapping birth dates to something. Why not just use the birth date? |
