Nobody is going to force Aug players to play on their coreect grade in school team. They just wont make the grade below them A team. But coaches will offer a spot on the correct grade in school B team or grade down B team. We all know which one you'll choose

Not this claim again. They won't make the grade below A team? What kind of club excludes potentially one of their best players from making THEIR AGE GROUP A team based on their grade?

A club that knows allowing Aug birthdays to play down creates long term issues. The short term wins arent worth the long term challenges. Also its better for the player to have club level and grade in school aligned for college recruiting.

Our club will put players in the correct age grouping…Aug to July no matter the grade the best players in that range make the team. If they are in a grade above that’s for the kids family to deal with and make the decision I guess if they want on the team. I don’t understand all this talk about August players, it is what it is.

You don't know recruiting, college coaches don't care about your age group (proven below). Become the best player you can which based on RAE and the Matthew Effect is being on the older side of the age group.

It doesn't of course, since the beginning of time, lage clubs limit playing up in soccer, in other sports and kids rarely enter school a year early also. It's a silly argument that because you can you should or that it would be allowed at most clubs for your kid. It isn't 9 times out of 10.

Why would a club "limit playing up in soccer"? The things you write make no sense.

It isn't. Grade doesn't equate perfectly (=) to birthdates. Always been the problem. Age based is not grade based. Kids go to school at different times, get held back, bounce grades and sometimes go to schools without grades. Birthdays are factual.

This one below is from the official body. It is correct. Not kind of sort of with butchered info that is wrong.

In BY having a lower bound for the eligibility grouping made sense because players cant play down.

In SY having a lower bound for the eligibility grouping doesnt make sense because players can play up.

This seems off by one grade level unless everyone was held back. I guess this is the problem with mapping birth dates to something. Why not just use the birth date?
