ECNL moving to school year part 2

Do you they will still have trapped player rules? For example my son was born June 15 2012 he will be an 8th grader next year when his teammates are in high school.

It would make sense for ECNL to allow trapped players to play like they have in years past to not lose these kids to MLSN.

When we switch from BY to SY this fall there will still be "trapped" players if you want to call them that. But in SY younger players can play up with their grade so nobody is trapped anymore.

For your kid because they were born in June they will be one of the younger players on new SY teams. But it really doesnt matter whats most important is that everyone is on the the team is the correct grade in school team.

BTW its odd that your kid is a June birthday but in a lower grade in school than other June birthdays. Did you hold him back?

I get the impression that people make up questions to make a point. Surprising how often they mess up the dates and grades.

Makes you wonder how many of the other questions where people get things right are real then or just made up to make a point.

Its age guy trying to throw out whatever he can think of to try and get leagues to allow older players to play against younger players.

Unfortunately for him the math doesn't work in his favor. As long as Aug birthdays play on their correct grade in school team all players at SY games are the same (correct) grade in school. Which is what college coaches/recruiters want.

This is for next fall when SY starts.
