ECNL moving to school year part 2

Yes, at least for Showcase games. But we all know how that works. First its showcase games then its league games and then everyone is fighting to hold their kid back in school for competitive advantage like they do in Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse.

Or he works for a club and is drooling at the opportunity to sell playing down waivers for 10k a pop to parents.

100% and anytime we get anything it’s drowned out by 5 pages of people posting their own age group write ups.

Age guy wants older players (holdbacks in school) to play down against up to 36 month youger players in leagues and events.

If Aug birthdays play on their correct grade in school team all players on the field for games are the same grade in school. Which is what college coaches want.

If college coaches get what they want theres no reason to play older players down against younger players.

This is why age guy is fighting so hard against Aug birthday players playing on the correct grade in school teams.
What club in the DMV allows kids to pick playing up if the club deams there talent not good enough?

If you cant show one with this policy, your point is mute.

Repost saying someone they want kids playing down 36 months or shut up about your myth.

I've gone through the math with you before but sure I'll explain it again.

School cutoff is say Sept 1st. This means Sept 1st and presumably one year younger will all be in a specific grade.

if a kid was born on Sept 1st and held back two times which is the max schools allow they will be 36 months older than a kid born on Aug 31st (youngest possible for that grade).

What you're seeing is the level some people will go. To play their kid down against younger players.

It would make sense for ECNL to allow trapped players to play like they have in years past to not lose these kids to MLSN.

This was my comment, my son was not held back but the school district gave the option for a late start for boys to mature.
He will be 18 his senior year so not really that old as that’s most kids.

But my point was some kids will still fall under the trapped as he will be 8th grade and his teams are going to 9th. We are considering a switch to MLSN as they are Birth Year and so it won’t have an effect on him.

Was just curious if anyone heard anything about trapped players for next year. Currently my kids ECNL club let trapped 8th graders play a few games while high school was going on.

Such a liar.

All schools give the "option to late start your kid".

Its called holding them back.

Basically, yeah he wants to start with forcing August on grade. Nobody else cares about grades.

Here is your people wanting showcases by grade myth again. Leagues going grade for showcases doesn't mean it was requested on DCUM.

That doesnt make sense.

All college coaches care about is graduating year aka grade in school.

Redo your made up narrative. He didn't start late.

Which league has said they want to do GY for anything?

Its just a rumor that you're trying to start.

You held your son back before even starting school. It doesnt change anything because you choose to start school late. You held your kid back and. now need to live with the repercussions.

Nice belligerence.

Ok, so no clubs allow choosing to play up around here and nobody asking for GY at showcases (except you for Aug kids).
