I heard that LMVSC has moved a couple of their teams to CCL2 and is allowing another area club to take their CCL premiership slots under the LMVSC name. I think it was for a couple of age groups where they either didn’t have enough for a team or couldn’t field a competitive team. Not sure how it could happen, but the person was pretty sure it is going to.

What club?

Gunston? Burke? Dorado's? South county?

Those are all good options. We were pressured to come back and we did sign, but we requested to leave and we did. So happy that we did.

My children at gunston- their top teams do NCLS or EDP. They're already registered, so not us

they're actively recruiting, but they're small so some older teams have combined age groups

Yes, you're allowed to leave. COVID-19 is an unprecedented event. If you felt pressured by club or team leadership to return, if you have worries about COVID-19, etc... you're allowed to leave. They can't tell all of you no.

Last year, we stayed and realized we made a mistake. We ended up leaving.

SCAA has room if interested

don't let them scare you; if you want to go to arlington/alexandria/syc go right ahead and do it

LB NEEDS TO BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON

It’s hard for transparency to occur when LB clearly doesn’t know what’s going on. For years, the league members have been asking for transparency regarding club finances and the direction of the club. She’s said she will have the finances opened for the members but never followed through. We got fed up with her lies, excuses, mismanagement and micromanagement and left for another local club in Alexandria. In 7 years at the league, LB continues to feel she has all the power and runs great directors and coaches off.

And yes, we are very happy at our new home. 2nd year in and have been impressed.

You’re kidding right! Lots of drama and the organization is a mess.

It's really not. People just don't like how much the Executive Director makes. Other than that, it's a great club.

There’s more than just that. For example, they are using money from the kid’s programs to pay their professional athletes. These pros also happen to be staff members and coaches. It’s you pay so they can play.

Alexandria is relatively the same cost as the other local clubs, but with more organization, a program that develops younger kids (and doesn’t just recruit older ones), and no drama. I would rather play there, even with the pro team (which other clubs have!), than stay at LMVSC.

If you feel OK misusing (yes it is illegal) non profit funds to pay for professional futsal players have at it. But, if the club was operating above board, your fees would be lower because you wouldn’t be taxed for the improper executive director salary, professional futsal players, the adult (Asa reds made up of the coaches and staff) team, etc... Do you think your kid is a priority, no the want your money so they can pay themselves to play. You should see who benefits from the camps ....

I would rather overpay for quality than overpay for LB.

Multiple LMVC teams across genders and age groups backed out of first week of CCL versus Alexandria. I assume not a good sign?

LMVSC is dragging their feet.

They’ll be folding before the end of the year.

You saw it here first.
