The clause specifies you can move if both directors agree upon it. Players that live out of the LMVSC area will have a better chance, you can just explain that due to COVID, you'd rather train in your community to lessen the chance of you coming across carriers. If you live in City 1 and that has two high schools, you're already going to be possibly exposed. No point in risking it by playing in City 2 with three other high schools. |
| Move to and EDP or NCSL club. EDP already announced schedules, NCSL will too |
You’re kidding right! Lots of drama and the organization is a mess. |
It's really not. People just don't like how much the Executive Director makes. Other than that, it's a great club. |
You might want to see the exodus of players from Lmvsc and the influx of players are surrounding clubs. Tells you all you need to know. |
Very true. With the league providing the schedule it helps for planning events outside of soccer. We have played in a number of leagues and have become frustrated with CCL scheduling but have been told the schedule is completed by each club for their home games. If LMVSC is drowning on the administrative side of things right now, you will be lucky to have a schedule completed the week of each game. With that, I would recommend looking at options that respect family scheduling around travel soccer. The LMVSCship is sinking and you have a red solo cup to bail water. I hope you can swim because you will need to use the skill very soon. CCL has relaxed some on the transferring between its clubs when it is done prior to the start of the season. We moved last year and met some resistance but were able to transfer and play. If state rosters have not been completed, it is very easy. |
What clubs are in the area that are non CCL? Vienna, Doradus, BRYC, are there any others? |
| SCAA, Burke (BAC) |
| Considering how LMVSC pitched an academy-style training format that consists of multiple squads, I don't understand how they're going to sustain an argument. They told us "academy style, one team of multiple squads". Well, looks like several ages will only have the one squad. That's not exactly living up to their end of the agreement. |
| too many clubs in too small a geographic area. There aren't enough players to go around. Some small clubs are fine with being small, LMVSC wants to be large, but it isn't competing with Alexandria or SYC and that really limits the player pool |
There’s more than just that. For example, they are using money from the kid’s programs to pay their professional athletes. These pros also happen to be staff members and coaches. It’s you pay so they can play. |
we just joined alexandria from lmvsc. you have no idea how much better it is. i hope you never find out |
Give it time (and have your wallet ready). |
I heard that LMVSC has moved a couple of their teams to CCL2 and is allowing another area club to take their CCL premiership slots under the LMVSC name. I think it was for a couple of age groups where they either didn’t have enough for a team or couldn’t field a competitive team. Not sure how it could happen, but the person was pretty sure it is going to. |
LB NEEDS TO BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON |
