Every time I see age brackets for the felon voters, I become more disenchanted with my generation. What is wrong with you GenX?

GenX is the most screwed over generation. All the crap trickling down from boomers our entire lives. Disillusionment reigns supreme. Not sure it’s support for Trump as much as exhaustion with the constant whining of millennials and gen Z.

The GenX group is heading towards retirement. Stop the whining already. The labels are stupid but people born in the boomer years, say 1963, are siblings with GenX people born in 1966. There’s a 20 year gap between the oldest boomer and the youngest one.

The GenZ stereotyping is even worse. The youngest are in middle school and aren’t even close to starting their adult lives but people have labeled them already because someone arbitrarily gave certain birth years a name to lump them all in. Enough

Thank you for the statistical data.

Please take the “discussions” about generations to another forum.

I am solidly GenX and my antipathy to being governed and ruled and shaped by the babyboomers has been profound.

PP here. This. Think it’s difficult for other generations to see the suffocating effect of boomers.

I’m GenX married to a Boomer. I’m just sick and tired of people trying to divide us by generations. My husband fights for social justice and environmental progress as hard as anyone, and has done so for forty years. People are people regardless of the year they were born, and we all deserve to be treated as individuals and judged by our actions, not by some kind of collective guilt.

The youngest boomers are 61. Maybe they could retire and give the rest of us a little space? They have overstayed their time in the light.

You want people with kids in college to retire?

I’m not the poster advocating for Boomers to retire, but very few Boomers have kids in college. Boomers are 60-80 years old.

Well 61 and 60 year olds definitely have children in college. Remember Boomers were having children in their late 30’s to kid 40’s, so their kids could be between 26-19 yoa. Besides why are you requesting 61 year old people to retire. They aren’t even eligible for Social Security.

Right, so very few boomers have kids in college.

Making one particular boomer who has a kid in college would solve a huge problem for our country.

Donald Trump's Approval Rating Is Declining Faster Than During His First Term

President Donald Trump's approval rating is declining faster in his second term than it did during his first term in office, according to one poll tracker.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll has found that Trump hit the low approval rating he reached in his first term two days quicker in his second administration than he did in his first term.

Which simply means Trump is going to push harder and faster for his brass ring of authoritarian rule. Which each passing day, it is easier for him.

Plenty of Boomers had kids at age 40 and now have kids in college.

Most Boomers had kids in their 20s and 30s. They're now grandparents.

Trump now underwater on immigration, always his strongest issue

Not just in Reuters/Ipsos either.

People wanted fewer border crossings and criminals deported, both of which were already happening. What Trump is doing is grotesque and increasingly unpopular.

Trump net approval on immigration according to cnn

April 2017 (first term) - minus 12 points
April 2025 - plus 1

On immigration, what track are we on?
December: 62 percent wrong track, 14 percent right
April: 45 percent right track, 42 percent wrong

This court battle on immigration is boosting Trump tremendously.
