I think the 4 runner driver is also a victim of Shahid’s crime. |
Honestly everyone one here needs to read this whole message then think of a reply. There’s so many people here that are just keyboard warriors not listening to any evidence presented at the courtroom, where were you when the trial was happening to make assumptions and pray the worst on shahid and his family? Where were you when the evidence was presented? I really suggest to come tomorrow to the sentencing and see how brainwashed you are? Shahid goes to vtech💀 spoiled brat💀 going 81 mph down the whole road💀 HE hit the other driver💀 it’s all bs that you hear and keep spreading. As someone who attended some of the sessions and heard all the evidence I can 100% confirm that he goes to nova. His parents are poor and he was the one making the payments on that 4 cylinder car that’s just as fast as almost any car on the road nowadays, it was just a luxury car. He only passed 1 light before the crash on Blake lane and him hitting the gas before impact was to avoid the accident which is what the detective fairfax hired said and confirmed is just a reaction and usually speeding up to avoid an accident is the smarter choice. How can you hit the other driver while the damage on your car is on the side of the car and other car is to the front bumper, sounds like a t bone to me and how the 4Runner should’ve yielded. To be honest it’s just sad how the 2 girls died and also sad how shahid’s life is basically ruined at such young age while the other party of the accident gets to walk around freely with nothing to worry about even after admitting fault but only after he got immunity from the courthouse. Personally I believe it’s a 50/50 and both drivers should be punished equally. If it was never for the car not yielding, shahid would’ve never been hit and just kept going in a straight line. If he wasn’t speeding then he could’ve slammed the brakes. Both scenarios still caused the death of 2 innocent girls though unfortunately and only 1 person is dealing with the all the consequences. |
Then they shouldn’t have bought their son who didn’t even have a license a bmw. And they should have acted like parents instead of spoiling him. |
Yeah right. Poor family bought their kid a BMW on pay of $20/hr? He may be going to NOVA because Tech or wherever he was planning on going said no thank you. |
I don’t think it’s an equal share of the blame, but the 4Runner is certainly partially to blame. Which is why he got an immunity deal. |
She can sue for the civil case. |
Most of the people here are clueless about cars or the whole situation, first of all the bmw 530i is roughly a 25k car used nowadays and shahid apparently bought it second hand so maybe back then was around 35k max. This car IS NOT a performance car, it has 4 cylinders, as much as in any car that’s on the street nowadays. His dad is LITERALLY a bus driver, make some sense please. |
He didn’t even have a license. He was going 60-81 mph. If the four runner wasn’t there to be hit, Shahid would have just hit someone else a but farther down. No one is expecting this level of reckless criminal driving on our neighborhood streets. There is no justification for him or his negligenct parents. |
It's sweet of you to try to defend your friend but I don't think it's working. |
All these family and friends posting ridiculous statements trying to deny and blame others have taken away any sympathy people might have had for this criminal. |
Are you guys even listening to any of the things I’m literally telling you that we’re talked about in court? He had a job senior year of highschool where he saved up for the down payment and was working full time to pay the monthly on the car which was going to be roughly 500$ a month I’m guessing on such entry level bmw that they bought second hand. |
Me too |
If the family is so poor then how did they afford a 250k bond? That money and collateral has to come from somewhere. |
I think he should be held accountable for the deaths caused by his speeding/error but the last minute push on the gas sounds more like an error by inexperienced driver not knowing how to deal with the situation. |
No. Life is not a video game. You don't avoid an accident by stomping on the accelerator. You hit the brakes. This kid didn't know how to drive. Learn from his mistake. |
