I’m someone who literally heard the evidence and both sides there’s nothing here to deny that I’m saying. Most of you here are just coming up with bs like rich parents and going to Virginia tech partying. None of this is true and go do your own research and ask anyone you’d know that went to court. I’m not defending no one and as much as he’s at guilt it just disgusts me how the other driver who clearly knows he played a big role in that accident taking place got away with not a single charge. He literally said it himself, I DIDNT CHECK my right when making the turn, having to get immunity to speak and pleading the fifth speaks a lot. |
Anyone who is not paying attention. |
FAIRFAX COUNTY IS THE ONE WHO HIRED THE GUY WHO DID THE ANALYSIS AND HE SAID STOMPING THE GAS IS A PERFECTLY NORMAL REACTION AND DOING SO TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT IS USUALLY THE SMARTER/BETTER DECISION. That was literally part of the closing statement at the court yesterday. |
You're 100% right!!!!!!!!! I will try to be there tomorrow and you're 100%. I don't know anyone- never attend that high school or anything, I went there because it was all over the news and I called in sick, just to see what was going to happen. Mr. Shahid and Mrs. Shahid seem like great parents who discipline their kids when needed. They are going tough a lot right now, it will be nice if everyone just stop talking if they don't know happened.. |
No. If the defendant wasn’t driving 81 mph on a residential street, those girls would be alive. An insanely reckless 81. |
He was smart and got that immunity though. He has conscience and brains, while Shahid has neither. |
His testimony can be used in the civil case. |
Honestly I feel better about Tech after learning this. |
Yes, but they’ll be lovely statements for the prosecution to read before sentencing. All these keyboard warriors trying to proclaim innocence for the murderer are doing a great job in helping the jury come up with a long sentence. Good job! |
Why would we listen to the jumble of lies you’re spewing? |
Adding energy to a collision increases risk. If you are an experienced driver (which Shahid was not) and know that accelerating will avoid a collision, then accelerate - but you may run into something else instead. Braking is safer and reduces energy in a collision. |
Liar. That was never said. Stomping the gas to plow into a car is never the smarter/better decision. |
PP. To clarify, I don't actually know if that's the case. No idea whether he was slated to go to Tech. But some on here keep saying that he's not at Tech but is at NOVA. If he was slated to go to Tech and no longer is, I'm just speculating that it might be because Tech said no. It could also be because of other reasons (legal fees, not being able to concentrate on studying until the trial was over...). |
If he were clocked at 30 and sped up to 40 you might have an argument, but he was clocked at 60 and sped up to 81 on impact. Why was he going so fast to begin with? The speed limit was 35 and driving 101 tells you to slow down a bit when going through intersections, especially large ones with multiple turning lanes. |
Bro he was never accepted at tech or hasn’t even applied I went to high school with him so idk who keeps coming up with all that bs😭 |
