| Obviously fashion and trends change over the decades, but do you think women look better now or in the past? Women have more access to better skin care products and procedures now so I think beauty can be extended longer. However, the look women go for these days tends to look more plastic. Overly botoxed faces and duck lips for example look awful. I think women in the 70s, for example, had more of a fresh face natural beauty. I think the supermodels in the 80's look better than the models now because because they had more curvy, womanly bodies. It's interesting to see how the ideal body type has changed over the decades. |

I think women are treated like a candy store buffet. I'm really sick of the male attitude that we are consumables, like food. I try to spend as little time around men as possible (no, I'm not gay).

+1! |
| I think people in general look better now than they did 20+ years ago. Women are more apt to be strong instead of skinny. |

Women now have more invasive and non-invasive beauty treatments available to them. Better living through chemistry, I suppose
Some of these women celebrities in their 50s and 60s look incredible nowadays. Almost as if they are ageless. Sandra Bullock is 54 and she's stunning. She really doesn't look older than a woman in her late 30s. Same with Jennifer Aniston who is now 50. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, celebrity women in their 50s didn't look like this. If they tried to "remain young," it typically meant getting obvious plastic surgery. I think the procedures these days are much more subtle (sorry, Meg Ryan). |
| Women now are fatter and more likely to have hideous tats and piercings than in the past, and yet are somehow nevertheless more obnoxious and entitled. |
I think you're talking more about younger women. Older women look so much better these days. A 50 year old today probably doesn't look like a 50 year old did in 1984. |
I concur. |
| I think women look worse, and by a lot. As one pp posted, overweight is the new norm. And yet everyone thinks they are the best thing in the world. Teens are fat, male and female too. There was one chubby girl in all of my school years, and I had a chubby cousin. Fat is ugly, sorry. |

Women are fitter now.
But older women are uglier: botox, fillers, etc all make you look like a freak show. |
+1. I agree older women these days can still look beautiful. Sandra Bullock looks amazing! However, I think it’s sad that so many young women in their twenties are getting Botox and other injections and caking on makeup to look like these Instagram stars, such as Kylie Jenner. |
| women are more attractive now, I grew up in the 90s when grunge was in in compared to how women dress now, they show far more than they did back then |
| I’ve always loved the look of women during the 50s, such as Marilyn Monroe and some of the iconic movie stars. I grew up in the 80s with tacky makeup and perms. The 90s wasn’t much better with the whole grundge look. |
| botox changed a lot its so mainstream men are doing it. working out too many diet and exercise plans today or other apps, engineered meal plans, tune up diets, the whole supplement industry are just more effective as compared to years past |

Its hard to say- I loved the style in the 50s and 60s Classic beauties with great hair styles
70/80/90s was probably the worst style for women |
