Do you think women are more attractive now or in the past?

Young people in general look horrible and unhealthy compared to before. The aging baby boomers look better than previous older generations.

People looked best in the 70s and 80s and are aging well also

That's how it seems now, but give it another couple of years. Those controlled curls coming down from the cheeks to the chest area; half brown, half blonde...will be laughable soon.

Maybe, but it will never compare to the travesty of the Mullet.

If the youngsters would stop piercing and tatting every square inch of their bodies, stop sticking their danged pierced tongues out and wipe that stupid duck face off....that would be a HUGE improvement.

Back in the day, women dressed up all the time. Nobody wore leggings or PJ's out in public. No scrunchied messy hair buns. Everyone looked pretty in their stockings and dresses...even otherwise frumpy Ethel.

I remember watching reruns of the I Love Lucy show as a kid and I remember thinking at the time that Ethel was chubby. In fact, there were jokes about her weight on the show if I recall correctly.

I've seen that show recently and Ethel looks pretty normal sized to me and not at all frumpy fat. Fred on the other hand....

And imagine in 10 years what people will be saying about the duck lips, the eyelash extensions that are so over the top and photo after photo of women standing not smiling looking at their mobile phone in front of a mirror while they take a selfie.

Yes it's in now, it will be hilarious in 10-15 years.

Actually I think women objectify themselves. They don't have self esteem from within. They seem desperate to be f*ckable to any man who passes them by. I think it's sad.

This is coming from a woman.

I think that the millennial generation (at least the ones living in this area) is less naturally attractive than previous generations. However, they are able to do more with less with makeup, hair styling and fashion. The downside is that they all use the same makeup techniques, the same hair styling and they wear the same clothes. So they all end up looking alike.

The lack of high levels of playing outside has these generations developing an unhealthy look. The bodies and minds are weakened. As a youth I crossed nobody with a peanut allergy or on behavioral medication. Young people look sallow and without vitality compared to previous generations. The falling fertility rate is physically evident in how people look and carry themselves.

I think it depends on if you prefer all American or exotic. Do you prefer Grace Kelly/Jackie Kennedy/Christie Brinklie or Lais Ribeiro/Zoe Kravitz/Catriona Gray?

In the past. Women today are more likely to look fake with too much plastic surgery/deem procedure like filler in lips.

Nah. Women just finally have the ability to not have children and ruin their lives.

This is thread is just a weird version of "kids these days, with their drugs and their rock & roll music."

I just feel like if I go to instagram right now, I can find 100 women who are way hotter than any of the models who were on TV or magazines in the 80s.

Yet they all look the same. Overfilled lips, arched eyebrows, fake eyelashes, overly painted faces, fake shine, fake curls.
These are the same women insisting over and over again that beauty comes in every shape and color and than they all look the same.

+1 I personally find the more natural beauty of the past more attractive. Just watch a few makeup tutorials on youtube to see how different they look before applying layers of makeup.
