Expectant and Postpartum Moms
| I am pregnant with DS #2. I am not revealing my name choices but want to hear what you think are the popular names out there right now. I am hoping my choices wont' be on your list! I think boys names are so hard- esp to find something that is cute for a baby, boy, teen & adult. I tend to like names that have been around a long time, but aren't overly used. |

If you live in this area, here is my list. It isn't based on any research, just my informal observation of the frequency of names of kids I interact with regularly.
Aidan (spelled any of a billion ways) Henry Mason Jayden |
|
Sam
Jayden Jackson Pierce Jack Aidan Alexander Zachary Benjamin Seem to be popular in NOVA/DC. |
| I was at my doctor's office the other day and the nurse came out and said "Aiden." 4 children all got up and walked towards her. I'd say that's common. |
Ha ha, that's funny! I agree with all of the above - I also hear Luke and Max a lot. |
|
Most common in my kids' preschool in NWDC:
Owen, Mason, Charlie, Hayden, Max |
| Also Nathan, Gavin and Liam. Definitely yes on Charlie and Aiden. |
|
Eli
Finn Every John I know goes by Jack. |
| Maddox is increasingly common, probably because of Angelina Jolie. |
|
Joshua
Jacob Ian Gavin Carter Jackson |
| Interesting, many of these names I haven't heard much, if at all, out in the far-out 'burbs. Aidan however...yeah, that's everywhere. And Jack/Jackson. Ethan. Brandon. Ryan. |
| I agree, boys names are hard!! Our top choices are Max and Luke |
| Lots of Ryans, Lukes, and Ethans out here in my burbs at least. |
| I agree with Owen, Max, and Charlie and need to add Logan. Soooo many Logans. |
