As already explained, it wasn't the real teams. Please see previous post. It was to give time to non-starters, EDP players, they used it as an ID session and had players there that haven't ever even practiced with Spirit, and normal key players were missing from some of the rosters.

I love it. If Spirit had won any of the games there would be all kinds of DA> ECNL and tell of how great spirit is. A good club dominated you and there’s nothing.

I'd be interested in the results out of curiosity. Our club has played or scrimmaged both.

When you lose (frequently), it’s a showcase or a scrimmage or it’s a new team or the coaches are about development. When you win (rarely), it speaks for the high quality of the DA and how bad ECNL , the ecnl mid Atlantic division, and all of the ecnl clubs are. The hypocrisy is real.

Not PP, but meaning IMO that there will be slim pickins for a 'DA' level team.

ECNL and DA rosters are full. The lower level leagues are filling up with players in early June.

Not sure what quality of players would still be available in July.

To be fair, unless your DA club breaks the rules, players wishing to move from one DA to another (say from FCV to Arlington so we don't create hater comments) cannot discuss it or do so until after 7/1. So ID session, no, but rosters changing, yes.... That's not to say that many clubs haven't already dropped or picked up players to/from other DAs already, but the US Soccer rules technically prohibit it.

Correct, after 7/1 DA players are free to change DA clubs without breaking any rules. Rosters being full makes no difference.

FCV sent out warnings to parents earlier this year that prohibited them from going to other clubs DA ID sessions. That ends 6/30. If you are interested in changing clubs contact the coaches at MU.

You mean the same FCV that had a WSVA/MU player come out to practice / tryout with them recently? Pot calling the kettle black. Anyhow - this is allowed as long as the player gets the ok from their current coach/club. I doubt that happens often, but there is an "allowed" way to do this. What I find really funny is the misalignment of payment schedule with actual off-season / transfer schedule. Would be so easy to audit and regulate, if anyone actually cared.
