Don’t worry about Stanford falling out of T5 elite category. Its already there at #6.

No one cares about Oxbridge. They should be lucky to even be considered along the U.S. elites.

Oxbridge is nowhere near HYPSM and should be on the same level of UVA whose acceptance rate is around 20%. And before you mention it, no one give a damn about WASPs, so RIP.

I was talking to a british couple once. They were impressed by US state universities and was wondering why anyone would even consider private colleges and universities. I explained to them that private schools usually tout their English lineage, such as Yale residential college and Williams
college’ tutoring. Americans are willing to fork over $80,000+ per year for the privilege of attending schools mimicking the UK system. To this, they rolled their eyes. Brits are the only people who laughs at HYP. If you don’t believe me, check out William Buckley’s talk at Oxford. During his introduction, the moderator mentioned one of his books, God and Man at Yale. You can hear oxford students snickering and laughing at this little country bumpkin from New Havens.

If you don't like Yale go somewhere else. Problem solved all around.

Yeah this is laughably out of touch and plain wrong. Oxbridge are fine, but they’ve been outpaced by their American counterparts since at least 70 years ago. They’re basically crumbling outdoor museums and a vestige of a once-world power that’s been on the decline since 1945 but is too embarrassed to admit it.

Obama’s daughter went off toHarvard and the first thing she did was to hook up with British royal, following the footsteps of Markle. Oxbridge kids can come and pick up anyone they want with their accent. HYP bumpkins go over there and the first thing they try to do is pick up British accent.

Turns out Melia’s boyfriend is a distant cousin to someone whose father was some sort of a housekeeper to the royals. That’s his connection to the royals. That tells you where HYP stands in relations to the UK. HYP is the only elite in the USA that has a chance to be snickered and laughed at in the UK. Stanford and MIT don't have the recognition even to be targeted.

I'm convinced this and the PP above are a joke. Or Brits really are completely up their own ass and the most oblivious set of losers who have completely lost touch with reality.

Sasha Obama is going to Michigan. She obviously wanted a complete collegiate experience.

Troll.

Sasha went to Michigan to be with her friends unable to get into Yale.

My god, this stupid topic keeps showing up atop the discussion list. It's like we're all stuck on a continual Reply All email thread. It's inane, pointless troll bait. People, MOVE ON.
