What if Biden does not bow out?

Gotta love Nancy Pelosi, channeling her inner mafia wife.

Despite Biden already insisting - repeatedly - that he is running, this is what she said today:

""It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision, because time is running short," Pelosi said in an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" when she was asked whether Biden had her support to be the head of the Democratic ticket.

Asked whether she wants him to run, Pelosi said: "I want him to do whatever he decides to do, and that’s — that’s the way it is. Whatever he decides, we go with."

A slightly more sane man would know the hit's been ordered on him.

I have a suspension that he had early-stage Parkinson's and it's gotten worse in the last year or so. This was known in Biden's inner circle, with rumors circulating outside of this circle. I also have a feeling that the Parkinson’s expert visiting the White House 8 times in 8 months is a cute way to hide the progression of Parkinson's. Did Biden consult with a Parkinson's physician? No. Did Biden's GP consult with this expert as a "go-between?" Probably.

it is so over for Biden and the hard left. But fortunately a Trump presidency will not be the end of the world and all the other hyperbole. and then hopefully in 2028, both parties will roll out younger, less divisive candidates.

Democratic leaders need to pay heed; and MSNBC media types need to quit trying to prop up Biden by spreading lies, misinformation, and accusations when people rightly share their observations relevant to his obvious decline healthwise.

Biden is in trouble in large part because his agenda was influenced by people like . . . George Clooney. They should have listened to Ricky Gervais at the Oscars a few years ago.

Exactly. I met George some years ago. He’s incredibly sweet and accommodating, but a complete pushover. His radical attorney wife is most likely speaking for him.

The fundraiser that Clooney headlined in June 2024 raised $28 million for Biden's reelection campaign, the most for the Democratic Party from a single event in history.

So last month Clooney raised $28 million for Biden, but now he wants him to drop out?

Clooney didn’t see Biden’s health issues last month at the fundraiser? Oh, he did, but he didn’t care. Now Biden has been exposed as a senile, narcissistic, elderly man who can’t walk or talk, Clooney is trying to pretend he has morals and ethics. He was happy to raise $28 million for Biden last month!

People around Biden knew he was deteriorating. They were fine with it. The press covered for Biden and the dnc did as well.

Nah.
The LA event was literally right after his return from the G7. If you only see him once, it’s understandable that you would consider it a bad night.
That’s why the week after debate is so telling. If he had done a big press conference the next day, and taken questions and been ok, it could have been fine.
It’s not fine, because he’s not fine.
But this is the first time people outside of the immediate circle could compare his condition and not chalk it up to a one time issue.

I agree somewhat, but people see what they want to see. Biden has had many public flubs, pointed out by MAGA, which pushed us further into denial. Exactly like when we point out Trump's many faults, which pushes his supporters into denial. This partisanship is bad for everyone.

Yes, yes, Trump is worse because he's morally diseased. But Biden is the one showing his age more, and for voters that's something you don't come back from. Democrats WILL lose this election, and downballot, if he doesn't get out of the race. This is 100% certain.

At this point Trump has the Presidency nearly in the bag no matter who Democrats run, because of our collective blindness about Biden's decline and the entirely unethical decisions of his closest aides, wife and possibly son. They shoulder a lot of the blame, because they knew, and tried to hide the worst of it from the public. They need to be publicly excoriated for the damage they've perpetrated, in terms of lost trust.

The only thing Democrats can do now, to salvage what's left, is to run Kamala Harris. She can be consensus candidate and has a glimmer of a chance. No one else has at this point.

Biden isn’t showing his age. His brain cells are dying.

Obviously he's already made that decision, or he would not have appeared on 50-whatever primary ballots. But I don't know that she's tossing him under the bus so much as hedging because no changes will be announced during the NATO summit or before the end of the Republican convention next week.

with each passing week it gets exponentially harder to make a change. The Dems screwed themselves so badly by propping him up as long as they did.

There's a growing push on the part of Big Donors and Democrat insiders to replace him with Harris (or someone else).
It's going to be interesting to see how much "persuasion" it's going to take. I was giving it a few days, it might take weeks.

But it has to happen.

Agreed. Trumps second term will be like his first term. It won’t be a draconian shut down of all our rights and freedoms and a takeover of our Constitution . It will be.. Trump giving away wealth to the 1% and trinkets to everhone

Nancy Pelosi could have kept her mouth shut. She could have refused interviews, especially one on live national television. She could have fully endorsed Joe Biden.

She did none of the above. She was not hedging bets. She was directly telling Biden, on his favorite news show, that he's a loser.

Lemme tell ya, those democrat donors in Hollywood, the BLM and climate activists aren't working for free. Trinkets are flying out of the White House.

Why do you think there are BIG bills for Ukraine. Some of it gets laundered and sent right back to Washington DC. EVERYONE is getting their cut.

You think WAPO and the New York times are doing their creative editing for nothing? HA!

This is fiction. There is literally no credible evidence of the above. The supposed "Parkinsons doctor" has been the neurology specialist for the White House Medical Unit going back to the Bush administration and made dozens and dozens of visits to the White House before Biden even got elected. By the faulty logic displayed here of "OHH A PARKINSONS DOCTOR VISITED" that means Trump has Parkinsons and so do Obama and Bush. See a problem there? And no, there's no "known in Biden's inner circle" - there's no credible evidence of it. Biden had a full physical in February including being examined by the Parkinsons doctor who concluded Biden DOES NOT HAVE Parkinsons and that is documented in a report and a statement.

DP. I wouldn’t believe a medical report from a candidate on either side. They all have agendas. FDR tried to hide his wheelchair. JFK lied about his health.

These doctors see overt signs of Parkinson’s or decline, not funded by the DNC:

+1 and with each week why would Harris or any other decent candidate want to be the sacrificial lamb? There is very little time for another candidate to mount a strong campaign. Harris will get $90m from the Biden- Harris campaign fund if Biden drops out. She could save this and have a huge head start on 2028 fundraising.
