I was wondering more on how many?

3 players who were at Landon last year as 8th graders (all 3 of them were starters on Landon’s undefeated MS team last spring) opted not to return. All 3 selected Episcopal as their HS destination for 9th grade and beyond.

EHS is building a lax program, mark my words.

Thanks Cabbell!

CM went to Episcopal. His oldest sons (the twins) graduated from Landon last Spring. CM youngest son is now a freshman at EHS and a few Mad Lax teammates also jumped ship (from Landon) and enrolled at EHS.

Time will tell if EHS is serious about building a program, they were dreadful last season. In one of the games I saw against Landon, the Bears were up 14-1 over the Maroon at halftime.

All things said, with Episcopal being a boarding program, top-notch facilities, financial resources, and CM connections with clubs from all around the country, Episcopal could go on a run these next few seasons if they agree to bring in the players CM pushes to the school.

One madlax teammate went to EHS from Landon, not a few. Episcopal costs $72,000 a year - that’s not including regular expenses kids incur like clothing, food, etc. So even if EHS was open to letting a highly controversial parent control their program from afar, convincing parents to pay $72K for their 14 year old to live away from home is a tall order.

"opted" that's funny. Cabbell moved his kid because he was never going to see the field at Landon and Cabbell thought he was owed. Maybe he was. The other kids didn't opt, they weren't asked to return due to academic and disciplinary measures.

I’m sorry that’s absolutely not true that the other kids were asked to leave because of academic and discipline issues. 100% false.

There is some truth.

one family had their contract withheld for discipline-related issues

the other family had ties to EHS as one of their parents was an alum and member of the BOT.

Correct. They weren’t asked to leave because they weren’t given the option to return.

Nope - the child you are thinking of did get his contract eventually and the child with those family characteristics wasn’t involved in any disciplinary issues at Landon that resulted in him not being asked back. Let’s move on though as you’re getting pretty specific and I don’t think anyone wants their child discussed on here in this way.
