Bullis without a coach and goalie has no chance. They pretty much return the same group and didn't get it done last year. Nothing will change except the Bears will roll them again and if the Little Hoyas don't get any offense other than the 5* they too will get rolled by the Bears.

GP graduated 2x4*'s and is replacing them with 1 5*. They also lost an excellent fogo and will replace him with 2 okay fogo's. I don't see how it adds up to a better team unless the returning poles can hold teams to under 7 goals.

Landon graduated 3 d1 short sticks and is replacing them with 3 d1 short sticks plus they are returning all their poles. Landon also has much more depth than the rest of the IAC.

Bullis has firepower but no goalie, little depth and a lot of players who don't want to acknowledge they should be giving the ball even more often to their attack and get out of the way. Poles are their weak point but shouldn't matter if they avoid hero ball.

SSSAS, EHS and STA will be fighting for 4th place once again. Couple of players on each team doesn't add up to wins against the top 3.

Good assessment, thanks for doing this

Spot on!!

Agree with most of this however I do think Episcopal will be a step above St Albans and Saint Stephens.

Episcopal was pretty young last year and brings back most of their squad, however they will have zero depth.

Did Bullis get rid of their coach?

Bellistri is still the HC at Bullis

Alive and kicking. Just needs help moving the program into a new era.

There's no new era coming. Once Bullis got rid of the lacrosse scholarships, they lost any kind of pipeline. The last of their scholarship agreements runs out with the 25's and they will be significantly behind GP and Landon after this year.

They will barely be able to field a roster of 25. The Landon transfers won’t help.

Bullis will always have 1 - 2 blue-chip players a year on its roster.

The Bulldog teams of todays though lack serious depth compared to the team during the Gerald Boarman era when Bullis was giving out lax scholarships left and right.

3 players who were at Landon last year as 8th graders (all 3 of them were starters on Landon’s undefeated MS team last spring) opted not to return. All 3 selected Episcopal as their HS destination for 9th grade and beyond.

EHS is building a lax program, mark my words.

If no one else is going to do it, I will. Your words are marked.

The next question would be are they going to start recruiting?

I think they already are, but might be important to keep EHS's goals in perspective. There's a much lower bar to compete for Virginia state championships than to compete for IAC championships.

PVI and SSSAS have dominated the state for years. They are slipping.

Collegiate lost a lot of guys to graduation and 2025 will likely be their last year of relevance.

Norfolk Academy and St. Chris haven't been relevant for years.

STAB, Blue Ridge and Christ Church are surging with strong recruiting, but there is a place for Episcopal in that mix.
