I thought he looked thinner at time of murder, men having affairs often lose weight.

So basically, as soon as she rematched they started affair.

This is what I thought too, until I realized the AP is still in house taking care of daughter. Is he that stupid?

This is all too messy to have been in planned in advance IMO

I saw an interview of a grizzled old police detective and the subject was killers who plan in advice and think they will get away with it. He basically said what Mike Tyson once said, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face”. Murderers think they have the perfect plan, but one thing goes wrong and then it all falls apart.

She's a Brazilian au pair, if not finishing her extended contract with Banfield, not many ways to keep her in US. If not in US, may be more likely to talk?

Looks like the only way to get a copy of the police affidavit filed in support of the charges against Juliana is to request in person. The news articles quoted details from it. DC often links to images on court website, as do other jurisdictions, apparently not Fairfax?

I wonder if he was simultaneously put on leave and if it was his job issued car that was being examined on 10/13 (what neighbors described seeing in a WS post).

I think that's what happened when he said he was the one who shot Joseph. Something likely didn't go according to plan and he panicked and lied.

I think he wanted to keep his job and it was his service revolver so hard to explain if he was not shooter.

I wonder if they knew he was not in house because of Ring camera footage, for ex the sound of shots, then his car arriving?

For anyone doubting whether Brendan is capable of having an affair or whatever, he most certainly is. He had one before, many years ago.

I already called the tipline about this, so LE can do what they will with that information.

I know a lot about his past affair, and whatever he had with the au pair is nothing surprising at all.

AP comes home, fires upon JR. BB enters home, follows through with CB and injuries himself during this or earlier when restraining CB.
First botched 911 call while realizing a need to sort stories and stage the scene, then the final call.

Agree with almost all of this. I also think CB was incapacitated, tied up or drugged or maybe both, it would make it all easier for the killers.

I think the first call was hung up when they realized CB was still alive.

I think BB wanted to claim he was the shooter because his service weapon was used. Obviously, if LE is certain he was not there, then he left it for AP. And forensics could tie his weapon to murder of JR. Wondering when/where he taught her to shoot well enough? JR was fit and into martial arts, he had to be killed quickly to be controlled. If the affair started when she extended in October, how quickly did they start planning to murder CB? Absolutely chilling.

I would not be surprised if BB injured himself to add "cred" to their tall tales.

I don't totally get why he could not have arrived and shot JR in the telling, matching presence with story. Why did he wait to arrive until after shooting? Same story of AP seeing him stab, shooting, could have been true for him. Why did he delay? Was it the plan or was he getting cold feet? It was also a risk if the AP could not kill/control JR quickly, better to have BB present for backup, yet, he was not.

They could have tried for spousal immunity, not too familiar with parameters in VA, anyone practice there?

I'm glad there had been other posts about this because I know he tries to project this squeaky clean image that just isn't true. He is manipulative and a liar, albeit maybe not the brightest. Here's hoping LE can unravel this case properly and bring him in.
