Perhaps that speaks volumes about you. Pelosi was awoken in bed by the suspect who entered the residence by shattering a rear patio door. After some back and forth about “Nancy,” Pelosi was able to enter his bathroom, grab a telephone to dial 9-1-1 and speak with the dispatcher while the suspect listened and interjected. The FBI affidavit in support of the warrant is online and self-explanatory. Police responded within 8 minutes of the call and were confronted with Pelosi and the suspect each holding a hammer with one hand and the suspect restraining the arm of Pelosi with his second hand. Why have we become a nation in need of being spoonfed in Tweet sized bites?

Well this is a quote from the Cheif of the Capitol Police that directly explains the threat we are facing as a country:

“In a statement Tuesday, Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said that while there have been improvements — for instance, the department is on track to hire 280 additional officers this year — the country’s “political climate” is going to necessitate “additional layers of physical security.”

So if Trump and Republicans don’t intend to harm anyone then why do we need additional physical layers of security to protect Pelosi?

C’mon now. They couldn’t be bothered to do anything in the days leading up to J6 with regard to multiple credible threats. You’re talking about one-off responses to a criminal act for which (presumably) there wasn’t any advance warning.

What makes me sad to think is that it seems (I use that term specifically because I haven't poured over all of the material) is that all accounts from Paul Pelosi are from the 911 tapes and not post-attack. I know he was in a very long surgery right after but does it seem like he's still out? Nothing in any police or FBI investigation has his take after the fact. I think he's worse off than we think.

PP here and don’t worry, I got it. He was unconscious for a few minutes after the hammer attack so it is good news that he was responsive afterwards.

The FBI affidavit states he was interviewed by law enforcement on Sunday (10/30) but little additional detail is provided.
