Trump has always favored celebrities over candidates of substance. In this case, Oz got a lot of votes from people who watched his show and liked him because he was a celebrity that they "knew", e.g. they had seen his TV facade for 10+ years and liked him. So many voters who did not pay attention to many of the facts about him.
