Where the heck are the Republicans?

Anonymous
What's it going to take? Trump has been indicted on two separate crimes in court filings. Has any Republican spoken out against this President? All you Republicans on this forum are you not concerned about the brand of your party? Who is going to step forward and separate from this administration? Will it be Graham? Corker? What is it going to take before Trump takes down the party? Can anyone provide me some insider insight becuase I'm sitting here stunned that this is going on and not a single Republican is sticking up for his/her party.

Busy worried about the woman who entered the US and had a baby. For some reason it didn’t bother them when Melania did it. But it is of utmost importance now!

Apparently they are still absorbed in Hillary’s emails.

I don’t recognize my own country anymore.

Trump has not been indicted. He simply stands accused of conspiracy as "Individual 1." He not only denies the charges, but denies even being charged. He ignores it, so the Republicans ignore it. Republicans are waiting for the entire conspiracy to be laid out before them. Maybe at that point they will do something, but maybe they won't. It might actually be in their best interest to brazen it out with Trump. They will conitinue that path as long as it is viable.

This strategy will only work until January when the new House seats are confirmed. As John Dean said - the House, at this point with the evidence in front of us now, has an obligation to put forth articles of impeachment. The Republicans look craven already.

I hope they slow play it, so the GOP Senators in blue and purple states facing re-election in 2020 are forced in 2020 to make a call on removal and held to it. Also, I hope there is more than this (though this is more than Clinton did) - I firmly believe there is deep conspiracy with Russians going back to the Miss Universe in Moscow that implicates Trump and the Trump family in this. I hope it comes to light. I also hope the NRA washing Russian money comes to light. I also hope Bannon/Mercer/Cambridge Analaytica fully comes to light as well.

It's like a family that ignores the big elephant (be it alcoholism, abuse, etc.) in the room and pretends everything is great, celebrating xmas, decorating the tree, then the head of the house goes behind closed doors and commits the offense, and everyone just ignores it even though they all know what's going on behind closed doors.

Like most dirty businessmen (ahem...mafia), trump tasked his team with collecting dirt on everyone. Literally.

The minority of republicans who are totally clean and/or aren't planning to run again are the only ones who can risk speaking out against him.

It's either that, or they're complicit.

This does seem to be the case. The Republicans who left office seem to be the only ones willing to say anything.

I mean, if you haven't read about it and seen anything about it at this juncture, you are doing it wrong.
