Where the heck are the Republicans?

I am somewhat connected to Republicans in Congress, especially their staffers. Three big points.

1. The base doesn't care. Like, seriously. They will support Trump and aligned GOP candidates.

2. It's fairly clear that the Russians took advantage of the "southern strategy," the NRA, and racism to pick off the GOP. It's sort of obvious but not really publicly reported.

3. People are tied up in this mess. Right now the issue is whether the GOP and Trump are going to continue to stick together.

Hey, tell them that that this American really wishes the worst on each and every one of those traitors. Please. Let them know that I hope their party gets completely destroyed, that I hope their years long treachery is exposed, that marriages crumble, that jail time is in the cards for many and we can right our ship. When my dad began teaching me flag code, he told me that if someone lets the flag touch the ground their name was mud.

Well, with that logic, I propose that every president be subject to special counsel investigation for the duration of their time in office. Because just because they haven't found any evidence yet that they've done anything illegal, doesn't mean the rest of their behavior is just fine and perfectly legal.

I want to point out the important point that Trump has yet to be found doing *ANYTHING* illegal. Even the potential campaign finance violation is just that - potential.

Yes Obama’s campaign did indeed violate the law and had to pay steep fines. Let’s remember what the Obama campaign did because it does matter. In the final hectic weeks leading up to the election they did not always meet the 48 hour reporting deadline to report donations in excess of $1000. They did report them but didn’t always make the 48 hour deadline. Sloppy and they were appropriately punished.
