Nice try. We know there is only one guy posting that August players have to play in grade. You’ve said the same exact thing with the same typos and copy and paste I don’t even know how many times. You keep trying to play it off as “one guy” saying clubs will roster by the new age groups, not grade, but we all know it is multiple people correcting you. |
Well, all I see is people saying MF or PDA aren't making grade a huge thing despite their PR literature saying it's possible and Aug guy arguing with them. |
This thread only starts back up when that one and only August hater crap posts about nothing new. Then a handful of people set the record straight. Soccer picked 8/1. Clubs and August kids aren't going to play up just to appease one crazy poster trying to make his Sept kid the oldest and avoid competing with an August girl. Forcing playing up choosing to play up when not ready would be like paying a volunteer tax, nobody does it because it's not in their best interest. |
is this the part that you see or are you just lieing again? https://www.matchfitsurf.com/age-change-faqs As we move toward the 2026–2027 season and beyond, our goal is for teams to be fully aligned with a player’s school grade whenever possible. This provides greater social continuity, roster stability, and a clearer long-term development pathway. |
You forgot something....
|
You need to keep reading. That's the point. It's so great they say "whenever possible" and then go on about how it'll be rare for national teams and involve lots of discussions. So, they give themselves a big out. "Play-up opportunities on our national level teams will be minimized to safeguard long term player development, competitive integrity, and roster balance. State teams will have greater flexibility. Any consideration for team placement because of age/grade anomalies will be made collaboratively by the Directors and Coaching Staff. When considering a player to play up, the following criteria will guide the decision – Impact on player development, competition level and recruitment opportunities as well as team needs and roster balance. Guiding Principle – All decisions will prioritize what is best for the player and the overall team environment." |

Yes, so when NJ posters on the other board say MF isn't allowing it, that could be true especially at their national team level because no one meets their strict criteria. It just wasn't possible.
So, what we have here is a club landing more on the side of grade BUT ultimately giving themselves a loophole to do whatever they want. It's pretty much the same case-by-case flexibility that Arlington gave itself. |
Responding to yourself, adding nothing new and putting in a meme because you can't make a cogent point. Rinse and repeat. Soccer went 8/1, clubs following rules will win, those punishing players by forcing them up won't be as good. Oldest eats the cheese. |

When trying to win the battle of an irrelevant club to the DMV 3-4 states away, you lost the war. 8/1 it is here. |
Why are people still responding to the school grade idiot |
|
Seems to me that the grade guy checkmated age guy by calling out his lies with proof written by the club that Matchfit intends to group by grade.
It also seems like age guy is spamming responses on DCUM and posting on talking soccer. But thats a seperate issue. A message for age guy. You might think that you're winning and arguement by responding over and over. You're not, you just look desperate when your responses have no proof or merit. |
Yes, and MF says it'll be more likely with their less competitive state-only teams. Tell the whole truth, dude. If anything, this argument is just as sound as when Aug guy says trust me bro all the teams will go grade-first this even though their FAQs say otherwise. The reality is this is case-by-case, even when either side says they favor one or the other. |
Is age guy the league? Because the league sets the rules and the teams go by age, not grade Unless U16 is a grade in school |
It's an ECNL club, so more relevant than most. The real headline is their FAQ basically shows they won't really go by grade for the national teams because they know it would hurt them competitively. |
