No, because those are US citizens of Roma descent |

Farmers in the heartland are scared of their crops rotting if Trump follows through, no? |
Only ones that break the law. https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/temporary-workers/h-2a-temporary-agricultural-workers#:~:text=The%20H%2D2A%20program%20allows,to%20fill%20temporary%20agricultural%20jobs. |
There’s an H-2A visa program precisely so that doesn’t need to happen. Nice try. I must say, it’s really eye opening to see how the liberal elites think they deserve a brown underclass of noncitizens to “do all the work Americans won’t do”. |
These people work hard. American citizens work hard. You want to do this hideous detention roundup as the solution so here we are. |
Stop trying to shift the blame to the liberals. It’s tiring. The point is that many of the people who voted for Trump (like farmers, small business owners, construction companies) employ undocumented workers. It’s not a liberal vs. conservative thing. It’s the rich vs everyone else. And I don’t know how Trump and co. convinced you dumb peons that the rich are all liberals. |
Texas put up a fence to keep out illegals. Biden administration cut the fencing.
Congress passed a bill that said the feds must donate leftover wall materials to states so they can build wall themselves. Biden Administration sold the material before the bill took effect. If the mass deportation were cheap, Democrats would still be against it. |

Liberals come across as preachy stuck up jerks. They are very vocal. But the label “liberal” isn’t a fair way to categorize this group. Their issues are 3 fold:
1) forgetting their humanity. And thus, for forgetting everyone else’s. Because your treatment of others , your presumptions of others , is positively correlated with your treatment of yourself. 2) ignorance of their own ignorance. 3) and pride It is unfortunate that we as a society have given these persons so much power and influence. |
Well Trump had 4 years to build his precious wall. He only added 55 miles of new wall. That’s it. After all those tantrums and shutting down the government over it. If there are so many people still able to cross the border illegally, that is on Trump as much as Biden. His big beautiful wall didn’t work. Probably due to the existence of things like ladders, ropes, shovels, boats, airplanes. He promised you he would get it done and that Mexico would pay for it. Did not happen. Not sure why you believe his empty promises again after he failed miserably to deliver last time. |
NP here. I have mad respect for anyone doing that work. It is not easy, and they certainly aren’t a brown underclass. They are an essential component of our workforce and economy. They put food on our table and a roof over our heads. There have been attempts to get Americans to do these jobs. It hasn’t worked. So, brace yourself for paying $5 for a single apple and construction projects being halted. |
Or I could be a dual citizen. The point is you wouldn't know. Just like unless you're asking for proof that these kids are American, you don't know. |
Yes, I’m sure the effort of moving the goal posts must be very tiring. So now we’re here - rich people are doing it, it’s not a liberal issue. Ok. Well, am I, the dumb peon, supposed to support rich people using illegal aliens as near-slave labor? Yeah, no. I’m not ok with it. It seems like you are, though? So curious. |
These cheap apples and that cheap labor only continue if we allow employers to exploit immigrants with low wages and other substandard treatment. Is your position that we continue to have this exploited workforce? Because once we address the horrible practices that pervade undocumented workforces, we’ll end up with expensive apples and costly labor. |
There's not a labor shortage, there's a livable wage shortage. If your business can't pay a livable wage, then your business is a failure. That's how capitalism works. If you base your business on workers who aren't making a living wage because as illegal immigrants, they have no rights or are afraid to assert them, that's a bad business plan. |
