Anyone else watching her speech in Milwaukee right now? She is FANTASTIC!

No, I don’t sleep well because the leader in office care about eastern Europes borders over our own. We should secure our own borders instead of worrying about someone else’s backyard and protecting them. We don’t even protect ourselves |
This inept administration has lost over 85,000 unaccompanied minors. That will be one of their miserable legacies. |
Swifties are sending the battle call to vote Harris. Last stat I saw said $47M was in small dollar donations. I would wager a lot of that money is them. She hasn't endorsed Harris, but her fans are calling for it. |
Stop lying. Democrats only had the House and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate for a few months in 2009 after Franken was finally seated and before Ted Kennedy died. And the entire world economy was melting down at the time. |
Where was that bipartisan support? Romney ran against his own plan in 2012 . Trump and Repub. tried to repeal Obamacare in their first month in office. What bipartisan support and “reaching across the aisle”? When will Dems understand compromising doesn’t work with Republicans? There was no need to ditch the public option to cater to Republicans instead of their base, progressives. They keep craving this Republican approval which will never happen even when they pass Republican plans like Obamas bailout and Obamacare . |
Thank you Obama for that one. I have a kid with medical issues in Grad school. This was a game changer for us. |
|
Uh, in 2009-2010, the Obama Administration spent like 8-9 months getting GOP buy-in on the ACA who then turned around and universally voted it down. Obama thought they would negotiate in good faith and learned a hard lesson. It's only gotten worse since then. Maybe we would have had a better plan if the GOP didn't cynically try to sabotage anything good that the Democrats did when in power. |
Those who don’t learn history… |
If Kamala is so bad, why did Trump think she was smart and donate to her campaign twice in CA? |
That same chart could be read as Trump had the lowest economic decline since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. And looking at that, many others made much larger climbs given their starting position. |
You don’t get it. Filibuster is not the only power in lawmakers and a president’s possession. There is something called the bully pulpit. President Trump used this effectively last year when he warned Republican Speaker Johnson and others to not dare cut a penny from Medicare and Social Security. Lawmakers after all fear backlash from their constituents . We saw that clearly when McConnell was yelled at by Republicans for wanting to repeal Obamacare . The Republicans had to quietly nix that plan . It seems to me and many others the Democrats use the bully pulpit to shame Trump (a man who doesn’t have any shame and doesn’t care to say it) instead of using the bully pulpit to support economic /progressive policy . Bernie Sanders would’ve used the bully pulpit greatly against Republican leadership and Democratic leadership who failed to pass what the people want |
+1. This is what I wanted from her in 2020! |
“Their candidate” What a strange argument you make. They could have had an all-in, open and transparent convention. Instead, you have a presumptive POTUS nominee in time for the ballots in Ohio and…oh wait, no Veep nominee yet. Lawsuits aren’t the end of the world. Losing them is. Let the Trump team sue, who cares? I guess you ALSO didn’t read that I am not MAGA. Or better yet, maybe the Dems could have done the right thing instead of rushed last minute sloppy stuff under the banner of “I know we lost your daughters’ right to healthcare, but just trust us.” |
