No valid news source has indicated that illegal immigrants are the cause of higher prices. More than likely, if Trump has his way, and rounds up all illegals, food prices will go up. Biden didn't explode the price of food, that would be the food producers and grocery chains. We live in a capitalist society and the capitalists decided to use the cover of COVID and supply chains to rape the US consumer.

There is a lot of fundraising against its spectre, but no plan.

And we see that if MAGA doesn’t win in 2024, it will only be a stay of execution; we will have Project 2029 instead.

Most of the Democrat voters don’t want to have this conversation, though. They want to assume I’m a MAGA follower for questioning what the Democrats are doing.

Dems cannot do what you want unless there is a majority in the House and a filibuster proof majority in the senate. So staying home means letting the GOP run roughshod over the country. How about supporting Dems and findng a handful of reasonable GOP who are willing to do something to protect human rights, and limit the damage the guns can do to our children.

Dems had this many times in the past decade +. They don’t pass anything progressive and left everything to the states to pass their own minimum wage and deal with abortion laws . Some of these states had abortion restrictions long before Dobbs in 2022.

No, I just want to point out that frequently the Democrats are trying but they’re being blocked the Republicans at every turn. The Democratic Party cannot single-handedly fix everything when they’re being rat snuggled by the GOP.

Do I get annoyed that our party plays by the rules and seems, generally, to lack the Machiavellian skills that the GOP has (the Biden pulling the rug out from the Let’s Go Brandon party notwithstanding; that was a masterstroke)? Hell yeah I do. But the GOP blocks everything and the gerrymandered states that limit the actual power of Democratic voters has me aware that unless we vote out the GOP in shocking numbers, it’s slow progress or go backwards. I’ll pick slow progress with the hope that the younger, invigorated Democrats like AOC and Jeffries push it forward faster.

Where was that bipartisan support? Romney ran against his own plan in 2012 . Trump and Repub. tried to repeal Obamacare in their first month in office. What bipartisan support and “reaching across the aisle”? When will Dems understand compromising doesn’t work with Republicans? There was no need to ditch the public option to cater to Republicans instead of their base, progressives. They keep craving this Republican approval which will never happen even when they pass Republican plans like Obamas bailout and Obamacare .

Dems cannot do what you want unless there is a majority in the House and a filibuster proof majority in the senate. So staying home means letting the GOP run roughshod over the country. How about supporting Dems and findng a handful of reasonable GOP who are willing to do something to protect human rights, and limit the damage the guns can do to our children.

Dems had this many times in the past decade +. They don’t pass anything progressive and left everything to the states to pass their own minimum wage and deal with abortion laws . Some of these states had abortion restrictions long before Dobbs in 2022.

It had been that way every olympic year...you can actually google it, nothing new.

That wasn’t the question. The question was, why should that sort of judgment induce me to vote for their candidate?

Because they have the good judgment to know Ohio won’t put them on the ballot, like they did in 2016, and as the did for Rs in the same position in 2020. And if they do, Trump will sue. So they are doing the voting in time to be 100% sure their candidate qualifies. And I’m sure there will be a way for you to watch, should you care.
