How nice. We are shipping them the defective equipment in the war for their lives . No wonder they can’t beat Russia yet. We are saving the top of the line equipment for the other country whose leader doesn’t even like our current leader . Nice work dems |
Because they have the good judgment to know Ohio won’t put them on the ballot, like they did in 2016, and as the did for Rs in the same position in 2020. And if they do, Trump will sue. So they are doing the voting in time to be 100% sure their candidate qualifies. And I’m sure there will be a way for you to watch, should you care. And then hold the ceremonial piece when they can get three or four nights of free prime time TV. After the 2020 election denialism and lawsuits, bad judgement is not doing the technical part in time to avoid lawsuits. Or, throwing away the DNC PR bump. Here they get both. Would not, this was an issue for Rs in 2020 and Ds in 2016. And so on. And for whatever reason, Ohio can’t get its act together and just vote to move the deadline, because (except 2021), the Olympics are always an issue. It’s just that pre J6, it was assumed the incumbent party won eta waiver because of course Ohio should e ale to vote for either of the major party candidates. Things changed post 202 election. Bigly and Badly. Thanks Don the Con! |
Trump left office right after the first Americans were vaxxed. So the virus did become less deadly the same month he left office. |
Really? When was the last time the Dems had 60+ senators? |
The ACA requires Americans to carry insurance but does not assure affordability. Then fines them if they can’t afford it. It isn’t progress. |
Because the GOP doesn't care about rules or laws or norms. I guess you want the Dems to be just as dirty? |
The pandemic could've played out very differently (positively) had Trump not axed the CDC boots on the ground in China who were tracking pandemics. This is what happens when you go on a "small government" rampage.
https://www.reuters.com/article/world/exclusive-us-axed-cdc-expert-job-in-china-months-before-virus-outbreak-idUSKBN21910R/ This was a massive failure on Trump's part, not that dissimilar to the Secret Service head who f*up the security detail at Trump's rally where he was shot. |
Tracking my period. |
Chuck Schumer declined to get rid of the filibuster and I think this is one of the biggest strategic errors of the modern era and I wish he would just retire and go away. Supposedly he was afraid of Republicans passing legislation when they got power- LET THEM. Let people actually see what they vote for when they vote for Republicans- that’s called DEMOCRACY. What a clown. |
No they didn’t. They had two months in 2012. And got us the ACA. That was the cent— more than a decade ago. |
Yes, the R way is so much better when millions couldn't get insurance. /s https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/record-16-3-million-seek-health-coverage-through-affordable-care-act You do realize that when the Rs controlled Congress and the WH, they still couldn't kill ACA, right? Do you know why that was? Because some Rs realized that ACA was good for their state, and they knew they would lose the next election if they voted to kill it. |
The ACA’s main purpose was to make sure sick people aren’t in medical debt or die because insurance companies won’t cover them or kick them out . It’s noble in theory but insurance is about charging the higher risk (like with car insurance). By being forced to not raise premiums on high risk/sick , insurance companies needed ways to get around that burden and alleviating that burden was raising costs for the rest of us . In addition, Obamacare wants to make sure not just the sick but the poor are also protected so Medicaid expansions and expanding kids ages to 26 on plans means insurance premiums raise for the rest of us and they need to mandate insurance to everyone to make it “universal”. This is not universal health care via single payer /Medicare for All. It is private insurance and/or (public insurance if you’re poor) mandated for all. This has caused a mess particularly for small business owners. It is a shame Obama reneged and didn’t fight for the public option/single payer. He promised Ted Kennedy that but as on as he died, the Dems took that off the table . For shame.. |
Raise your hand if you sleep well at night in Lithuania. Or even Finland. Which also joined NATO over this. |
As soon* |
It covers people with pre-existing conditions, it allows people to stay on their parents plans until they are 26. Just those two alone are difference makers. Yes, Universal would be better, but Obama was going for bi-partisan support adopting RomneyCare a a national program. |
