Who said anything about defective? It is just 1990's and 2000's technology instead of 2024 technology. We wouldn't want the Russians recovering our latest and reverse engineering it, right? |
You are missing the lede. You aren’t talking to MAGA here. It’s not Dems vs MAGA. It’s Dems vs stay home. We know you feel energized and hopeful. And that’s great! But we don’t. A Harris vote seems like kicking the can down the road. We turned out for HRC. We turned out for Biden-Harris. We still lost our rights and the Dems have shown us no plans to fight back, just asking us for cash and votes. |
Tell me you live in a blue state without telling me you live in a blue state. And that you’re at least of a middle class income. The reality of healthcare for a lot of the US is a ruinous financial nightmare when you can access it at all. Kid shot in school? Better have insurance. I don’t like the Rs either but the ACA is not good legislation. |
If it were such a crisis, why did the GOP choose not to support their own "bi-partisan" bill to address it. Hard to take the issue seriously when the people bleating about it refuse to actually move forward with solutions in the name of political expedience. |
You know what, just stay home and suffer Project 202t. Seriously. |
oh. you have to be f*n kidding me. I have had private insurance for 20 years, off and on. When I went to get it again in 2002 I couldn't because of a pre-existing condition (gestational diabetes that went away 4 years prior). Thank god for ACA when I was then able to get private insurance. Millions of people who had never gone to see a doctor finally went to see one after they got insurance from ACA. Yep, I live in a blue state because they care about their people. I would never live in a red state that wants to curb healthcare access. And don't get me started on school shootings. It's not the Dems who love their guns and wants to let people buy AR15s, the typical guns in school shootings. Kinda ironic that Trump was shot by an AR15. |
I’m asking what the Dem plan is to codify law or otherwise prevent it from happening. Because if they don’t have a plan, and execute it, it’s coming. But asking these questions is deeply unpopular. |
Record breaking one day fund raising in the history of campaigning, and mostly from grass roots efforts.
Meanwhile... Trump begs Elon for money. Trump sells access to big oil for $1bil https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/trump-oil-executives-meeting-billion-rcna151576

It's stupid question that's been asked and answered numerous times. The Dems can't do anything by themselves unless and until they get a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and retake the House. |
It is huge progress. A self employed person was basically out of luck for any health insurance in my state until that came along. It has been critical for entrepreneurs. |
They will need to hope one or two conservative justices leave the SCOTUS or in the alternative develop a plan that the GOP would support to expand the court to cover all of the circuit courts. They will need to pass a lot of legislation codifying our norms and practices, some of which may need GOP support. Beyond that, they will need to continue to act with decency and hope the American public values that, and then levies the same expectation of behavior on the right. |
Indeed, here's a life long R business owner from AZ who thanked Obama from the bottom of his heart for ACA. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/arizona/2017/01/14/sedona-jeff-jeans-obamacare-aca-cnn-paul-ryan/96553138/ And this is why Rs couldn't get rid of ACA. Still waiting for Trump to provide a great replacement for ACA. I am also self employed. |
The best thing we can all do is make sure she has the House and Senate with Senators who will bypass the filibuster. Other thank that, what do you want? Be specific. |
I answered you earlier and you didn’t respond And if they don’t there will at minimum be: 1. Robust defense of the abortion pill against the crazies trying to get the FDA to revoke its approval. 2. Support for people who need to travel between states for abortion and no bans on women’s travel. 3. Appointment of justices who believe women’s healthcare should be protected. Yeah this isn’t enough— but it’s so much better than what we’d get under Trump. Which of these don’t deserve your support? We can vote from home now— you can’t fill out a paper form to protect access to the abortion pill? |
