Please be honest - do you ever feel jealous of mothers who have more money?

I do. I am not proud of it but I do. Life is so much easier for them and their kids get so many more opportunities and experiences.

My friend is currently on her second five day getaway this year with her husband. Her full time nanny just moves in for the five days and handles everything with no stress or worries for my friend. I wish DH and I could even detaway for an overnight!

Every single second of every single day.

Yes! The crazy thing is that I know I have so much more than most people but you can always use more money. Would be great to have more help with the house and kids.

PP here. This nanny is truly like a grandmother. She is amazing.

Not the ones that are working hard for it. Sure for the ones that inherited it. Money makes life easier - unless the trade off is your time.

Yeah. I see kids with teacher-nannies, classes, trips... everything is available to them. Private schools too (which in DC are astronomically expensive).

And I would love more help! I would have so much more time with my girls if I had someone to cook and clean.

No. I know too many kids who are being raised by nannies and it’s not pretty.

Oh yes - jealous of rich families. I'd love to not worry about money. Take kids on vacation, etc etc.

I know intellectually that money doesn't buy happiness and relationships are more important but sometimes I hate my messy house and disorganized stressful life.

+1. I have a few friends who make a ton of money but rarely see their kids and seem to work nonstop. I have even more friends with husbands who make a ton of money but they are NEVER home. I do not envy that. But family money or the rare huge salary in a cushy job, yes, for sure.

Not really. I could get behind a weeks vacation away from kids though. That's more of something parents and inlaws do to help you though.

You can be a rich SAHM with a nanny just to give a hand. That is what I would love!!
